Smoked so much weed my lungs are bleeding?

Good idea mate..doctor is your best bet. It certainly was not the herb so you really don't even have to mention it if you don't want too :)

I actually found out a couple months ago, my primary care doctor prescribes Medical MJ cards. I had mentioned to him that I smoked weed "occasionally", but he seems like he is cool. But yea, I will get it checked out tomorrow just to be safe
 
Just tell him straight, you coughed up some blood, and you also happen to smoke frequently. Then ask him what can he do for you?
 
dawg u and me both need to cut back on smoke intake my dumbass smokes a pack a day on top of tons of bud. wel atleast im pretty shure how ima die fudge!!!! dude u could go c a doc though they wont arest u , might give u a lecture like "drugs r bad mk " ... iv been thinking about moving to cali before its too late or atleast switching over to eating hash butter to get high istead of smoking im just not set up for that yet.. i dont even own a vipe or bong so the majority of my smoking is unfiltered ... take it easy bro peace
 
If this happened to me, I would immediately stop smoking for a good, long time.
If you haven't missed more than a day or two here and there for 10 years, your body may be screaming for a break.

I have been smoking for almost 25 years, but I take breaks. I recently finished a 6-month break (my longest to date), but I have taken many 1- and 2- month breaks (probably almost every year). I also only smoked on weekends for around 8-to-10 of those years.
I am in great shape. I exercise more than an hour a day, and feel good every day.
I am looking forward to a lifetime of enjoyment, thanks to moderation.

If I were you, I would see a doctor, but I would also eat very healthy food for the next month or two to try to support my body.

^ EVen when you get a vape, party of you is always gonna miss that big hole in your lung after a huge hit. With the vape even when you take a ridiculous hit, you barely feel it on the chest and breathe pretty much nothing out. :/

It's worth the extra health tho.

Ever go to the doc?

Thats bad as fuck to be coughing up blood. I smoked heavy like all day every day for a solid 4 or 5 years and would cough up the usual lung butter type shit but I dunno what you got goin on. If you plan on continuing to put smokin in your lungs definitely see a doctor. He is not going to do anything except help you.

Alright, so I finally got to the Dr. today. I told him what happened. He listened to my chest and says my lungs sound fine to him. To be on the safe side, he is having me get a blood test and a chest x-ray. I have a follow up with him a month from now, but will get the tests done in a week or so.

But his theory was that I coughed so hard I caused my wind pipe to bleed. He says that this is pretty common, when someone is coughing super hard they can tear something in the wind pipe which causes bleeding.

Although I haven't coughed up blood since, he said if it happens again then I might have to go see a specialist to send a camera down my wind pipe.

But for now he thinks it was just excessive coughing causing a rupture in my wind pipe.

Just wanted to let ya'll know that have been wondering.

And i will let you know what the x-ray and blood tests say when they get done.

dude I have been smoking weed for the last 16 years in every form imaginable, and I've smoked cigarettes for the last10 years, and I have NEVER coughed up blood of any form, every now and then there will be tiny black specks in my phlegm but never blood, and I do cough a lot and have a lot of phlegm most of the time, I also had pretty bad asthma as a child and almost died from it and had to be in a breathing tent when I was a toddler, and I have NEVER coughed up blood, if I did I would Immediately go to the ER and I think that's what you should do, get to a doctor dude! and NO they won't arrest you that's just silly thinking you could admit to cops that your high on crack right then and there and as long as you don't act intoxicated and aren't driving then they STILL couldn't arrest you. go to a doctor NOW

I did go to the Dr. Check out my post from above

And I also cough up brownish black stuff with phlegm once and awhile

But the Doc thinks it was a rupture of my windpipe

but am getting a x ray and blood test just to be safe
 
Glad to here that everything turned out okay. One of my boys had collapsed a lung from smoking ganja. He fully recovered and the doctor told him to not use pipes or joints because of the heat. The heat is what fucks u up. He recommended bongs (this was before vaporizers were around). I thought he was the only one to go through that. Moderation is the ticket, if ur smoking more than an eighth to a quad a week just yourself you will feel it. Ive cut down to under an eighth a week and dont have any complaints. Good luck brother
 
Ok, so here are the results from my labs.

Chest x-ray- Everything looks fine
Blood test- Everything looks fine.

I feel good and I am glad it wasn't cancer like some people thought.

I notice when I blow my nose sometimes, i get blood in my mucus, same looking as it was when I coughed up the blood originally. Dr. thinks it is no big deal, just a blood vessel in my nose that bursts once and awhile.

So ya, Vaporizing is what I am doing right now
 
I'm having the same problem. Went to jog before my martial arts class and coughed up a good handfull plus of blood. I also am a chronic weed smoker and have never been shy to tell doctors this. They've done 4 sets of x-rays and lots of blood work but can't find anything wrong with me. Most definitely go and get the x-rays. Doctors are like priests. They can't disclose your info without your permission, and generally have no interest in harming you.

They tell me that coughing up blood can be a symptom of a few serious conditions. If you love life then you should go immediately.

Don't trip balls though.. I smoke mad weed too, and after each of the x-rays they've taken, (8 of them since I first encountered this problem) they declare that my lungs look "great!" and my blood is normal as can be.

We smoke a lot more than our parents generation ever did, and the grades are higher.. so maybe this is a new problem for the doctors. I'm waiting to see my family doctor, maybe he'll have some ideas.
 
Thats good that everything is fine, I agree with nowadays people smoking more/higher grade weed then before. Some of the thc levels are pretty crazy compared to anything even 10 years ago. I have to say I wouldnt be suprissed if people start getting more negatives from heavy cannabis use, hopefully not to a point were it is noticed by any kind of authority and hopefully people will just slow down if problems arise.

EDIT: Although I dont see this being a factor for bleeding lungs, who knows what caused it but if you checked out fine theres not much to worry about.
 
Glad you got it checked out and everything seems fine. I'd take a long break from smoking if I was you, give your lungs a break man
