I had a few questions about weed staining your teeth. Have any of you guys' teeth been significantly stained from prolonged smoking? Is there any way to help prevent the effect? How much is an acceptable level of smoking if I dont want to stain my teeth in the long run?

JUst practice good dental hygiene. Use mouthwash and brush ur teeth 3 times a day, usually good to do it right away after u smoke, an added bonus is ur breath won't reek of weed

as ninjateic said, good dental hygiene stops the hardcore staining. i didnt brush as much when i was younger ( more partying ) and had some bad staining. one whitening and regular brushing since then and my pearlys have been fairly white.

a labourer of mine had HORRIBLE teeth, smoked less weed than me but never brushed. his were like brownish green in spots.

BRUSH YO TEEF

When I first started smoking weed I had braces (16) I'm almost 23 now and I've never really had bad staining, kinda yellow kinda not, I'm getting them whitened soon so whatever, redo! I dont smoke cigs or eat candy 24/7 anymore so my teeth will be fine lol

Dentists i know say that marijuana smokers generally develop a green/yellow tint to their teeth.

Probably.. I smoke cigarettes also though.

What is up with Americans having super white teeth.. is it the flouride in the water?

I drink a lot of water in general, I think this helps.. plus brushing twice a day.. I'd say drinking too many sugary drinks and coffee and not enough water causes more staining.

arm & hammer will fix that

...once you bash all your teeth out with the hammer, there will be no need to brush :P

^Lol good one.
DOn't even try that otc whitening tray bullshit, its a waste of time and money, plus they taste like shit. Get em whitened by a dentist and just brush regularly

your dental hygienist can tell if the stains are from tobacco or pot. different colors.
she told me so

tobacco: yello, brown
weed: greenish, brown
