Ashaman - thanks a lot for the advice though I think I will go with the idea of uni all this year and test the waters in melb mid-semester for a few weeks.. see if its worth it. Thanks for the differing opinion though, you have some very good points.

re ashaman's points - u can do all that after uni. Besides, almos all the 'advantages' listed u can get from uni. It's much hard to 'defer' a degree and come back. The motivation to start studying again is heaps tough - I know I struggled thru my second degree after defering for almost 2 years.

Your call. But beauty over brains? I know which one I'd rather.
