I have been searching and have yet to find an answer. I am sure it is out there but there are so many search results for "adderall" + "sleep" + "effects."
My question is simple: Due to exam schedules I woke up yesterday @ 6pm and have been awake since then. I just found an old bottle of adderall IR and wish to take some tonight specifically for buzz purposes (I'm done with class for the week, so can afford to catch up on sleep...oOoOo that rhymed rather well). Will having been up for 24-30 hours considerably reduce the effectiveness of the adderall?
I don't take adderall regularly anymore as I have long replaced it with armodafinil (Nuvigil, or the right enantiomer of modafinil).
Now my second question I will no doubt find an answer to using the search, but if anyone feels like answering it as well I'd be much appreciative: I took my daily dose of Nuvigil @ 8:30 this morning. Should I expect a potentiation, degradation, or no significant interaction (both positive and negative)? I would be taking the adderall around 12 hours after I had taken my Nuvigil. I therefore am more concerned with how the adderall would interact with the "state of brain" left behind by Nuvigil, rather than a pure drug synergy/contradiction.
I'm fairly learned in regard to neuropsychology and pharmacodynamics, so feel free to throw in some specifics/jargon if you feel so inclined.
To put it all simply, will I get a significantly better buzz if I reset my brain and take it tomorrow? I only got enough adderall for one good experience, so I'd rather not waste it.
Much appreciated.
