Skunk girl gets high and risks death by climbing electricity pylon

this might be a stupid comparison, but when someone breaks their neck on skateboard do they sue the makers? Just because an individual misuses a product or just overindulges it doesnt make it the producers responsiblility as long as the individual is fully aware of what they are consuming, they should accept full responsiblity for the outcome

I don't think it is stupid at all, I think if anything, makes very good sense and is well thought out. But it also follows on, to a large counter argument for the anti-marijuana lobbyists.

Following on with your example, would you make a new skateboard and put it out for sale, if you knew how much damage it could potentially cause? (Not that I follow this counter argument, if we lived by this rule, we may as well wrap ourselves in cotton wool and never invent anything new which could have any possible harm.)

The anti-lobbyists argument is pretty much, we know alcohol is bad, we know tobacco is bad, so why would we legalise something (which in there opinion), is bad.

But in my opinion, this goes against our free will and common law rights as human beings and links very well into what your saying. If we do no harm to others and "the individual is fully aware of what they are consuming", they should have every right to do so. Though for the sake of this argument, I'm only going to equate this to cannabis.
