Ok, I feel so stupid. I've been smoking H for about 8 months now, well recently I started mainlining. Anyway, this last time, I was in the vein but the needle must've pulled out and I accidentally skin popped. (I've decided injecting isn't for me..)

My questions are:

1) When should the swelling and redness around injection site go away? (It's been about 1/2hr since dosing.)

2) How often do abscesses occur (generally speaking, like everytime, half the time, not often, etc.)

Thanks in advance for your experience, thoughts and/or ideas. I already feel dumb (as I should) and I'm slightly worried, so please don't send negative feedback. I know H is bad, to each their own. I don't judge, so please don't judge me either. Just looking for some answers. I'm trying to learn via my mistakes. Thanks again and I hope everybody is/stays well.
 
Dude, try not to stress to bad.
Usually an abscess will only form if what the H was cut with is absolute rubish, and the body has trouble processeing it, or if there was bacteria or sumthing it the shot, n it gets infected.
I am studying my degree in naturopathy, so I have a fair idea how the body works.
You should be fine. Drink lotsa water over the next 4 days. (bout 3 litres or so, but not fuckloads.)
The interstitial fluids (fluid around your cells)will carry the junk/adulterants into your lymphatic system where itll be processed.
Ide say the lump will be gone within 4-6 hours or so. (dont freak if it takes longer though.)
If yoir worried bout it sitting n getting infected n causing an abscess, eat 3 cloves of garlic (raw and finely chopped), 3 times a day (or more if u want).

Thank you Shaman. You def put me at ease. Most of the swelling is gone (3+ hrs later) with slight bruising (normal) left behind. Good to know about abscess. Will keep an eye on it just in case but your tips are way helpful and I will gladly take and employ your advice. Take care :-)
 
Yeah this is quite common with people new to the whole IV scene. Not a big deal though, should go away throughout the day. Just dont make it a habit to miss your shots!

Believe it or not there are people who intentionally 'skin pop' because all there veins are collapsed. Search for pictures on google, its quite gross.
