Opioids simple question ...can I clean my drugs with alcohol?

Someone gave e a handful of norcos...and they clearly have dirt or soething on the outside. I know Ive probably ingested worse than whatevers on here...but its a bit uncomfortable knowing theres some gnarly stuff on them. Could I take a bit of rubbing alcohol and clean them off this way? Let them airdry and then consume? Or will the alcohol absorb and make me sick? And if I let them sit for an indefinite amount of time will the alcohol absorb into the pill and possibly damage or reduce potency?? Thanks.

Probably not the best idea, but also probably not the worst.

Why not do a CWE to make higher doses safer to take as you probably will filter the dirt out with the acetaminophen?

I'll add only do the cwe when you are ready to use the med as I'm sure the water solution would not be stable

I was gonna do that anyway...but this stuff looks like grease/resin or someshit so its likely it wont filter out and further Im more concerened about the germs or microbes that could be on there..could be anything...he gave them to me claiming that his tolerance would not allow any use for them and he doesn't know anyone that would buy them ...hes sells the black stuff so it could actually be tar....no matter what I don't wanna cosnume any unidentified filth looking stuff...maybe Im overthinking it

In that case, don't consume them man.

I can't think of any method to clean them besides taking a razor blade and scraping the black crap off of it before doing a CWE and I wouldn't run the risk as there is no way of knowing what is on them to begin with.

They could have been on the floor of a shop and it could be axle grease for all you know.

While I would assume mixing in some vodka or something with the filtered solution would fix that issue drinking acetaminophen traces with alcohol is bad.... Not to mention mixing opiates and alcohol. I'm assuming you don't use tar as well?

Any way to check with the person what it is?

Nah.. ill do any opiate ..tar ..oxy..(no IM/IV) but....Im a very very strict and careful chipper/user...I love opiates and have been a successful once or twice a month user for over 5 years now believe it or not. I find them to be a very effective anti-depressant and work motivator...when im down in the dumps or need to get stuff done they are very effective in keeping me happy and busy all night....I own my own business and work from home.

I thought alcohol became harmless once it evaporates. So I figured that this metjod would work. I don't drink alcohol...as Im an alcoholic and quit about 6 months ago....but maybe using 100 proof or higher booze to clean them would be safer? Are you saying that you would be concerned about a reaction within the pills with alc/acetometaphen ? Im pretty sure regardless of the alcohol used it would be safe to consume after it evaporates...but pills are rather porous so I was concerned they may soak up the alc or cause the hydro to lose potency by some sort of reaction. Im really not worried about consuming a drop of isopropyl as I don't think that in that amount it would be toxic...I doubt axel grease would harm you at that amount either...on that note. Now the amount of crud on them is some minimal spotting ...like they were in dirty pocket or something...thanks for all your help! Love me some hydro. I did ask him and he just shrugged "its not dog shit, if that's what youre thinkin"

You seem smart enough to know the right answer.... If you were seriously concerned would you have bought them? Would you have trusted this person not to sell stuff that is not safe like you describe? I'm glad to hear you are considering these things as I considered dangers with my bad idea solution.

I doubt wiping them off with an alcohol pad will destroy them.... Maybe wipe it and let it dry only before you use it. Also getting a paper towel damp with a high proof drinking alcohol solution should steralize it if you're afraid of ingesting isoprpyl, which I would be too.

Somebody probably kept them in his pocket without an airtight seal. Focus on what you know: The person could not have kept it in his ass or else it would have dissolved in. So what can the gunk be? Cotton, mixed with some sweat, some personal DNA and whatever. Not harmful.
