So stuck and saturated with empty promise that my eyes can only so infrequently focus on the figure across the room.
In circles we walk, like the chatter, the talk, of the minds and the eyes that are always so eager to caress and consume.
Serving me temptations as rotten apple cores compile themselves in the corner against the wall.
Screaming at the shadow the grey ugly evil that doesn't seem to notice that its there at all.
I blink my eyes twice at the odd pinching light that severs the darkness and delusion.
I see now the silver, speck, sliver of delight that once was hidden by illusion.
Had I run to go see what it was, what was me, then maybe I could know what I am.
But sadly mistaken oh and oddly forsaken is the soul that is constantly damned.
Forever more, and forever and less than what I wanted to be just a day.
Can't say if I'll see that speck of light cast itself out of this murmered gray.

If anything I do drugs to appreciate reality.

I really hope you don't think your life is bleak as you seem to be in this poem, things will change and they will look up again! It always does but i know it does not make it any easier when you down !

No things aren't this bad, I just sorta let the words take me where they will and this one ended up being bleak. Thanks for the response.
