I started this thread because the mods closed my other thread before I could reply. Anyone who thinks colloidal silver doesn't work as an antiseptic, I bet I can prove you wrong. Get 3 9V batteries, a bit of copper wire, 2 pieces of silver as electrodes and some distilled water and make some of this stuff. Then get 2 glasses of milk, to one of them add the silver solution. Leave the glasses of milk to stand at room temperature for 2 weeks and record how long it takes for each glass to spoil. That experiment proves beyond a doubt that the stuff kills various strains of bacteria responsible for spoiling milk. It also kills molds which is made evident by doing this experiment with bread. This crude apparatus produces silver ions, you can prove that by adding a bit of sodium chloride and observing white silver chloride precipitate out. I wouldn't recommend drinking this stuff because it would instantly precipitate out of your gastric fluid as silver chloride. Intravenous administration on the other hand, I see no reason why that wouldn't work. Might not be the safest thing to do but if you are dying of some kind of life threatening infection, then you have very little to lose. If I ever got Hep C (which is a virus but the theory is that silver targets the chemical lung mechanism used prokaryotes, protists, fungi, virally hijacked cells etc.), I'd go ahead and bang this stuff up because I wouldn't have much to lose to begin with. Its strange how its impossible to have a rational conversation about this with many seemingly intelligent people. They automatically assume you want to drink it and start going on about argyreia and heavy metal poisoning. Drinking Dettol probably isn't too healthy but that doesn't mean it can't be used safely as a topical antiseptic.

I closed your first thread because it seemed rather unanimous that it had very negative side effects.

Next time, if you want your thread re-opened after it is closed, follow code and contact the moderators of that forum and provide reasoning why your thread should be re-opened. Why? Because your new thread gets closed if you don't.
