If you are concerned that someone you care about is using meth but you are not sure, then this is for you. What I'm about to tell you is all from my experiences with the drug and I apologize in advance for my English.
(short and simple)
Basic Signs -
-Repeated mouth activity ( clenching, clicking, tongue movement)
-Dry lips
-Can't eat much
-Wide eyes
-Oily face
-More chummy than usual
-Time flies by much faster for them
-Long/Continuous activity ( might play a game on the phone for an abnormal amount of time if not interrupted )
-Moving a body part over and over ( this is common even when your not on the stuff but in my experience i tap my legs alot and wiggle my toes )
-Obsession over one thing ( for example they might try to prove a stupid point until they get you to agree on it )
That's basically all the signs and symptoms I can come up with at the top of my head.
(The story with the explanation of things)
I have been on and around meth long enough to know how it works and also have read multiple stories on the effect it has on people. For example, bug crawling sensations, little shards popping out of the face, these are just the most common things I've read. There are 2 main factors that cause certain reactions. What the stuff is cut with and how strong the users mind is. When Meth is cut with sht its dirty and when smoking the dirty stuff users crash faster and harder(sometimes no high at all). When I'm coming down off meth I get tingling sensations all around my body(alot of people i know do too) and when people spend too much time on the internet they mistake the tingling sensations for bugs and itch because they have weak minds and they are letting the drug control them(paranoia and placebo). Also when your on/off meth there is always a certain denial that the user is not addicted they might keep saying they are gona quit soon or have already quit. ALWAYS be cautious about every word that comes out of a meth addicts mouth until your are 100% sure they have been clean for 4-5months minimum. There is nothing you can do to make a meth addict quit. The reason meth is so hard to quit is because NOTHING you do or say will make them any less inclined to quit. The user himself has to want to quit and find a rope to grab onto to give him the faith and power he needs to quit. once the user finds the rope and is ready to climb then it is your job to keep an eye on the user. Quitting is hard but what is almost impossible is impossible without the support of someone who cares. If you want the rehabilitation to be successful then keeping an eye on the user is your daytime job on top of your current day time job.
I am gona end it here because this is taking way too long. I have never wrote a completed essay and have never tried this hard to write somthing before (school dropout). I have trouble finding the right words to express what I feel in paragraphs. I can probably answer single questions more direct and clearly but please be serious in posting questions if you want me to answer them. The reason I wrote this is because I believe I have the answers and want to help and also because I'm a victim who tried to quit and have been clean for awhile but it is extremely hard to quit when all your friends smoke it and you have no one to talk to or to support you.
