Shrooms - Disgusting! What can be done?

as fuckin awesome as that sounds to have 25 chocolate shroom squares, i dont think its worth the trouble..just eat'em and eat a browmie after or somthin'. The shrooms that i've eaten have only tasted as bad as styrafoam flavored rice cake...so i just deal.

Dude, you're sounding like me more and more: Never did drugs, now you're like the "drug chef". I feel like Emeril sometimes: "Bang! kick it up a notch!". Add some shrooms, some X, some G, some K with a dash of nitrous or amyl for a quick little rush.
I like my shrooms plain. I did read that the bigger they get, the nastier they are. Maybe that's why all the little ones I have eaten weren't too foul.
Psilocybin breaks down with heat or light, so those of you who are cooking them are wasting valuable trippin spice.

So how was the trip?? I like the chocolate idea. I did put some in with some candy before to try to disguise the taste. Felt like I was eating chocolate covered twigs.

just fucking put them in your mouth and eat them, it only tastes like cardboard :>
then a tall glass of OJ to wash it down.
 
1st time- 1 NY peppermint patty and not quite dried shrooms = weird but good...
shroom powder + gatorade = barely any taste, hard, fast hit
shroom powder + pepsi = bad idea- carbonation blech!
shroom powder + OJ = def. the best yet
if they aren't dried yet, they don't taste bad at all. haven't had PButter, but heard it is good... no milk afterward though....

Man, there are some gross methods here to hide the taste of shrooms. I've trie d a lot of them, but certain ones dont work well at all (ahem chase it down with oj).
But that's OK, because your savior has arrived. I've come across some NASTY fucking shrooms in my time (black and blue all over), and I'm gonna give you the two BEST WAYS to eat shrooms without noticing a thing (unless the stems get stuck in your braces or something) AND they cost about a buck each:
Method 1: Buy one of those long ass Rice-Crispy treats you find at gas stations (they should be about a buck). Put the shrooms on one half of the rice-crispy treat. Fold the other half over the shroom half, so you basically have a rice-crispy mushroom sandwich. The rice-crispy hides both texture AND taste effectivly.
Method 2:Go to Carl's Jr. and order a SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH (99c) or two with house dressing on the side. It is imperetive that you get the spciy chicken sandwich, because any other burger wont hid the texture of the shrooms. Anyway put the shrooms on the sandwich, put some house dressing on top of that, and BAM you got yourself the best thing to come out of a fast food restaraunt in a long time.

didnt read the whole post, but the best way to consume mushrooms is by putting them on a peanut butter sandwich

I don't believe freezing will affect the active ingredients, but cooking definitely will. Using milk chocolate, which melts at an extremely low temperature avoids the issue.
 
i dunno about you people but i tried shroomies for the first time last month and i remember forgetting to leav my friend the other half of the eight cause i couldnt stop eating them....they tasted mad good to me! I dont even like mushrooms but shrooms tasted awesome (maybe a bit 'o salt would help too). I have yet to meet someone who doesnt just eat them plain. Hell....i'd keep a bag by my desk to munch on....if they didnt make me trip so much.
 
I've always just eaten them plain, it's quick and easy, and if your caps aren't too big you can swallow them whole(altho it takes longer to digest and therefore longer for the trip set in)
 
one up on OJ..... pineapple juice.... use dehydrated shrooms, blender, and an OJ and pineapple mix for zero nasty taste.....
 
peanut butter sandwiches really do work.. tried it a couple days ago -- NO TASTE! just very dry, so you'll need a drink to wash it down.. but chew it up real good. chunky PB is good cause you won't know if you're crunching down on the peanuts or the shrooms. still, you can kinda feel the shrooms in the first bite or two.. but just chew it up real good and you'll be set.
