Shrooms and perception

I read that once a lot of people take acid, their perception on the world (correct me if I'm wrong) and on life and just the way they see things change. Does that happen if you take shrooms too (low dose)? And is that a good or a bad thing? Sometimes I'm scared of seeing things differently, idk why... That's one of the reasons why I'm too scared to take acid. Hopefully shrooms are different..

When I've done mushrooms I've noticed that my perception of how the world is and my relationship to the world and to other people was competley altered. My way of thinking was so weird and warped that it is really hard to explain, and at the time it was really scarey to me because I couldn't seperate the way I was thinking from the way things actually were (if that makes sense). I was also very inexperienced with psychadelics at the time though and haven't tried mushrooms in a while.

Many of my friends have told me this happened to them but on the other hand alot of people really like mushrooms and have positive experiences. So I would recommend just trying them (at a low dose) and seeing how they feel to you.

I've never taken LSD but have taken mushrooms several times. AFAIK mushrooms are reguarded as more 'in your face' and more direct than LSD. So if you're planning on taking mushrooms there's no reason to fear acid in particular.

In my experience the changes psychedelics have to offer have been positive and I wouldnt trade them for anything. :)

a one-time trip won't change your perception if you don't want it to. in fact, you should be easily able to discard or forget the experience.

an actual change in perception requires more than a chemical switch and are usually the results in lots of reflection and examination during and especially after the trip. discarding any latent-mental illness, you brain actually changes very little from one exposure.

perception is a tool, and drugs can show you the tool, but you don't ever have to use it. although that'll usually result in a less fun trip.

I don't know if I was clear, but I meant AFTER the trip is over. When I say a low dose, since it will be my first time, I mean like half an eighth. I'm too scared to take anything over that because I like approaching new experiences slowly and cautiously.
