I think the best taper method in the world still wouldn't work for zero WD. I mean it will def minimize the intensity of them, but there is no full proof method. I know myself and if I tried to taper down the feeling of doing more would take over and I would take more. I suppose some people may be able to do it, I know I couldn't and I suppose that's why I am on subs now. Anyways best of luck to ya
Well what motivated me is a couple of people really.
One girl "ratgirl" over on the somni forums wound up tapering for 3 months off pods. The day she jumped off she said she felt great. Didn't lose sleep, no anxiety, no wds or depression at all.
I know she was using higher amounts than me for a long time too.
But she also did a verrrry slow and long taper.
Some other person I met on thekratom forums only tapered for 4 weeks, he claimed ot have jumped off at 8gms and not experienced any wds.
Then you have people getting down to less then a teaspoon of pods, jumping off and claiming to still have pretty bad wds. I think what it really is is some people think all they have to do is get down to a certain number and then they can stop.
Like "I started at 80gms, as long as I get down to 5gms I should be fine" but they do the taper in a more linear fashion, not slowing down towards the end. And when they jump off they don't realize they're still withdrawing from last weeks dose.
I notice the people who ride out the lower doses for longer, usually seem to be ok, when the people who are just concerned about getting to a specific number wind up having worse wds.
I cant be too sure in either direction. But the logic I'm following right now is I basically just got low a few days ago. I was around 15gms last week. I'll be around 5 or 6 tommorow. So my body is still withdrawing from the 10gm drop this past week. I think the normal taper person might get down to around 2 or 3 grams and think "I'm low now I can stop" w/out realizing their still wding from where they were the week or 2 before.
So my logic tells me, when you get down SUPERLOW. In terms of pods like 2 or 3gms, you need to stay there for a week minimum, 2 weeks ideally, so your body can finish wd from the last week or 2 of higher doses. I don't think a lot of people wait it out when they're low like that. I'm around 5 or 6gms like I say. If I slowly go lower, but just stay low in general for another week or 2, my mind is telling me the most I will feel is a slight bit of fatigue, or hot flash here and there. And even though it would still be wds, it would be a joke. So I think you are def right in a way, but I'm trying to have hope that I can get rid of at least 95% of the wds. Guess we shall see when the day comes!
