i have a small hand held color changing glass pipe that im resinating as hard as i can. she's totally fucking gorgeous, even my mom said so! i keep the hole clear of goo so she hits smoothly, but i wont clean her until she's coated evenly with black on the inside so i see her in all her pink and purple glory.
when i do clean her she will be almost completely clear. then ill get her dirty all over again!
on the other hand, i have a big glass bong that is sooooo hard to keep clean(we smoke a half eighth out of her almost daily). ive used "420solution" before, its that liquid with little scrubber crystals in it, and it works well at removing the scuzz on the inside of her chamber except it takes a whole fucking bottle. i cant keep that up every week!!
what i should probably do is find a way of filling up the space in her chamber without diluting the solution(she holds tons of water). i thought of ice cubes, but ive also heard rice helps scrape off resin so as soon as i obtain a pound of uncooked rice im gonna give that a whirl.
cleaning the pull bowls and stems of the bongs is the biggest pain in the ass. i never really attempt to get them "resin free" and looking brand new.. in fact i dont really know how that would be possible. i used a metal pokey(its a hard wire with a glass bead on one end), pipe cleaners made with plastic intertwined in the fuzz and even drinking straws all in the effort to keep the stems clear. ITS HARD!
can you ever get a funky pullbowl new again? what do you do, boil it? soak it?? (im thinking of trying the rubbing alcohol, hows that method go? just soak? thanks new shaman)
i have a glass pipe thats actually named "the Resinator" because she has a corked chamber for nugs in her to be resinated as you smoke. surprisingly, the weed catches most of the goo and she is still mostly clear in the stem.
i have a very thin delicate "hobbit-style" glass sherlock that i desperately would like to keep in pristeen condition. the pipecleaners i have are too short to clean the long stem, even when linked together. im afraid any debris getting sucked through will settle and amass under the conical bowl where i cant get to it.
this pipe is too delicate to shake 420solution through(the shaking required is the problem, not the grainyness) and just soaking wont alleviate the issue of impossible-to-pipeclean spots.
any suggestions?? stoner wisdom?
