Bupe Shelf-life of suboxone/alcohol solution

Having read the thread on increasing the bioavailability of sublingual suboxone by using alcohol (http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=404947) I've decided to give it a try, seeing as how I am running low on my supply of subs and would like to prolong my taper as long as possible, while also being able to more accurately measure the amount I'm taking.

Anyway, my concern is that if I prepare an entire 8mg pill at once, it may degrade in the same manner that heroin degrades into morphine through hydrolysis when left in solution. My current dose is approx. 1mg/day (0.5mg 2x per day), so if I cut my dose to 0.5mg/day by using the alcohol solution, that would be 16 days from one 8mg pill. Is there a threat of degredation of the buprenorphine in an alcohol/water solution (most likely 80proof [40% alc] vodka) for a period of 16 days?

I hope I can prepare at least 4mg at a time without worrying about the buprenorphine degrading, as it is difficult to split an 8mg pill into 8 or 16 exact pieces, which is a major attraction of this method. Please, put my mind at ease and tell me how stable the buprenorphine molecule is in an alcoholic solution.

After reading more about the solubility and stability of suboxone in alcohol, my worries are now more focused on the water that is also contained in the vodka, and how that might affect the solution over a period of 16 days as far as degredation of the buprenorphine goes. That, or the combined water/vodka not having a ph between 3.5 and 5, which is the ideal ph for maintaining stability of the buprenorphine according to http://www.elephantcare.org/Drugs/buprenor.htm (yes buprenorphine is so strong it is used on ELEPHANTS!!!)

Has anyone who uses this method of ingesting suboxone prepped this many days ahead of time, and were there any problems?

Bupe shelf life

Does anyone know if bupe pills have a shelf life - do they degrade over time like, say, codeine, which supposedly becomes toxic after a period? I came across a whole bunch I forgot I had, going back to 2001...

My micron filtered solution in 0.9% benzyl alcohol has a shelf life of 28 days, though I have used it past that (unknown how long that was, could have been a long while) without negative effects.

Depending on the alcohol %age, the shelf life will be pretty long. Preparing 1 pill at a time shouldn't be a problem for you.

At the rate I'm going at it, I get 400 doses out of one pill (which lasts me longer than a whole month).

Wait a second.. I thought this said 40 doses..
400 doses is just straight ridiculous.. why the fuck would you waste your veins on that?!
