this started as a journal entry, then after some tweeking I thought it made a pretty good piece or writting.

She was on top. We finally got each other’s cloths off, releasing all the built up post breakup tension that had been building up between us. This day, the first day we weren't together. The first day we we're "just friends" or at least trying to be. I was on my back, she straddled me as we were kissing in a frenzy. Then, a pause, stop, just looking at each other in silence as she sat up. So awkward. Not knowing what to say, blank looks on each other's faces. We had made love so many times - but not like this. This was not a farewell fuck or a friends with benefits thing. Eyes watered, hers filled with tears, all that was on my mind was our hearts did not belong to each other's anymore. Is this the last time we'll be like this? I had some faith we could get back together, some shards of faith in love left back then.

*inhale*
"I know your heart doesn't love me anymore, but if you ever come back to me, you are mine forever" I whispered.
She never came back.
