I was prescribed some pills for back pain and started abusing them. We argued about it a little bit and all the sudden she just left. we were engaged. Don't know what to do. I am detoxing as we speak.
 
Wait till your goodn clean before talking to her. When youre healthy and mentally calm, if shes still not down move on.

That seems a little harsh for her to just leave because you are going through a tough time. I'm sorry to hear that. If you don't mind me asking, what was her reasoning for leaving?

Right now just focus on yourself and recovery. I'm certain that she would want you to be healthy. After you're well then try to make amends with her. Keep strong and good luck.

As already mentioned, focus on your recovery plan..
Try and communicate with her when you are not affected by the drugs.
You two are/were engaged.. She must be able to read you like a book.
So make sure you are not hiding anything when/if you are ready to talk.
 
Very few women will willingly marry a drug-addict...I think you know what to do...
It sounds lame when you're in the thick of it...but in time you will feel better, your situation will no longer look so bleak...get well, give her all the time and space she needs...this is how you show her that you respect yourself, and that you respect her decision. That's why it's so hard do do that...it requires strength...it's the right thing to do...exactly what is attractive in her eyes...

You'll be ok...virtually everyone has to deal with this kind of thing sooner or later...virtually all relationships come to this position on some level, and how you conduct yourself now, has everything to do with how it may turn out...some guys remain single their entire life, because they can't resist the temptation to grovel like a whipped puppy when his girl draws away from him...

Drugs mostly fuck up relationships reliably...like clock-work...
