"shaving" hbwr seeds

how do you think about peeling off the skin of those seeds.. does it make any difference to you?

the page which does not sell them anymore says that the skin is not any more toxic than the rest and i guess it does not contain any off the lsa but still there are rumors of shaving them would somehow change the fx

I did this many years ago because I heard that the suppliers used a Mercury-based pesticide on them. Took ages and I cut my fingers to pieces with the razor (it was before the days of safety razors ).

Probably wasn't true anyway.

The cyanogenic glycosides that cause the most discomfort are found throughout the seeds. Scraping the 'skin' off of the seeds isn't going to do you any good.

It's a pain in the ass to scrape them anyway. Alcohol extraction ftw! Fuck that terrible nausea and cramping. Why endure that when alcohol is so readily available?
