I ran into her today
When I was shopping alone.
My hair a mess
That old jumper you hate
And no make-up to hide behind.
There she was
In blonde bombshell beauty
Standing in front of the freezers.
I can see why you chose her.
I watched as she picked up orange juice - no pulp
Your favourite.
She smiled as she placed it in her basket
And I know what she was thinking.
Bitch.
When she turned and saw me
She didn't flinch
Didn't avert her eyes in the manner of the shamed.
No.
She smirked and waved and I suddenly realised
I have no idea why you'd choose her.
Through thinly veiled triumph she called across the great divide
"How's it going, honey. I hear you lost a flatmate."
Witty retorts fizzled on speechless lips.
What does the loser say when they've been beaten to the ground.
It was all I could do to avert my eyes and walk away
....In the manner of the shamed.

I don't know how to respond to this...
...Envy is a killer, alright. You have no reason to feel shame, but feelings are reactionary and ill controlled.
Remember, We are the Bitter Posse. If you want someone to vent to, I'm your guy. :)

It was just such a low moment for me. I felt so absolutely weak...like she had this control over me and there was nothing I could say or do which would change that.
And YAT you know we'll always be the bitter crew!! My partner in spite....heh.
