amen to that.
i am currently in scurry/beer mode.
i have a dr. appt soon and i don't know what the fuck i'm going to do if i'm not put back on klonopin. seriously, after 12 years trying different meds it's the only thing that makes a difference. the only time i could keep a job long term, i was guzzling opium tea all day long to get through it. i'd much rather go the benzo route than alcohol and opiates. that's no kind of way to live, trying to medicate yourself like that...fucking impossible to carry on a real life. for me, anyway.
well, oversharing time over. if you had shaking hands before it could be a part of your anxiety/why you took benzos in the first place and now that you are off of them it's more pronounced. i don't think about my shaky hands but every one in a while someone will say something and i don't really mind. it might be something old alcoholics do (i heard the fred mertz guy from i love lucy kept his hands in his pockets while filming because of it) but you are probably not one, so...?
What is this forum for, if not for 'oversharing'...a little? lol.
We're on a drug forum, for Heaven's sake, talking about our addictions, substance abuse and problems.
And, hopefully, some of us,
recovery... and how to get it.
I guess some others are here for the reps...the prestige! I trust you're not one of the others...
By the way...
'Scurry'...like anxiety and 'social anxiety'...mild case of agoraphobia?
or is this a new word for something, some new substance, I haven't heard about?
Anyways, seen
too many doctor's who just routinely prescribe whatever their latest seminar was about.
Had someone tell a friend, their daughter should seek treatment for (bad) skin rash
...'eczema', with scabs from scratching, infected, that they should try with
'this new sunlight therapy procedure' ...'that we just went to a class for!' Sunlight?
Expensive sunlight?
How convenient. And, you just went to a seminar about it? Hmmm...
Then she said, " It will be expensive but if you really talk to the insurance agencies they will lower the price.'
Turns out, the
insulation in the attic (faulty ducts, blowing it in), was irritating her skin.
Fixed A/C, eczema cleared right up. God's honor.
I have a brother who's a Chiropractor, he talks to me.
So, I know how rigged the Health Care System is...
So, hope I overshared
just enough.
Good luck, again, to the OP. To everyone...
May we all be in a state of (relative) well being soon...
EDIT:
Sorry if I'm coming off rude. That's not my intention.
Changing 'scripts can be very scary. You know
this thing works.
What if the other doesn't? For some of us it's a matter of hours...if not days before 'the Horrors' creep in.
And, we all know how long scheduling a dr appointment can take.
Just TG you actually have a doctor. And, an appointment.
