So, here is what I hope to be an intresting thread. My girlfriend doesn't like having sex, or really much of anything, the problem is I have a normal healthy sex drive. When I'm on opiates my sex drive literally goes nill, I have no desire in anything sexual, hell all I do desire is laying down staring at the ceiling while I lay in bliss, however that costs a bit much. So I'm wondering, in all of everyone's travels, and experiences, what is a cheap effective means of killing one's sexual drive with minimal alterior side effects? I'm fairly sure I've never heard of any pharmacuetical that is designed to reduce one's sex drive, but I'm sure there has to be some out there that do a good job in a high precentage of those who take it. Thoughts?
 
Have you thought about going on an SSRI? By far and away, the SSRIs are one of the most effective (and cheapest, most readily available) way of kililng one's sex drive. As for side effects, for many people (such as myself) the sexual side effects are really the main/worst ones.
Personally, I recommend Prozac. Sex will be very unappealing, I assure you! If you don't want to TOTALLY eradicate your sex drive, try one of the newer SSRIs like Zoloft or Celexa.
On the plus side, you might well be happier! :)

SSRI's or even something like Wellbutrin, of course the trade off is that you have to contend with the side effects of these drugs on a regular basis... here is an idea, how about finding anoither girl thats not such a frigid bitch? If she is your GIRLFRIEND she should be willing to open her Deuce-Juice-Depository from time to time, then the rest of the time you can just *FAP* *FAP* *FAP* .. personally I would stick to opioids, thats what does it for me..

Note: Wellbutrin increases libido for many. It is now sometimes even prescribed for sexual dysfunction. Therefore I would not recommend you take Wellbutrin unless you want to INCREASE your sex drive! An SSRI is a much better option...

I'd heeartily second that opinion. Back in college I wanted a simple way to kill my sex drive outright, I literally wanted to go on Prozac JUST for the possibility of this (my overactive sex drive being a huge source of nothing but frustration at the time). Later I went on Paxil and now my sex drive is great...sorta like a switch that I can turn on almost at will. I don't spontaneously activate it often though, but when it's on it's still raging as before (possibly enhanced because i masturbate far less).
I might add that I've had some anorgasmia sometimes, but orgasms haven't
EVER been any kind of problem for me at any point, anyway. My orgasms can
be had easily enough that they're sort of an afterthought in bed, anyway.
On the flipside, I've seen that SSRIs are prescribed now for premature ejaculation in men, to exploit this nice 'side effect'.

Prozac an hour or so before sex will delay your orgasm substantially....
But yes, i definately gotta go with "find another damn chick who wants your body as much as you want hers"
thats just weak that she doesnt want to have sex. or maybe youre just an ugly bastard? in that case, roofies are the key....
[i am HIGHLY opposed to any form of rape or drugging your date unwittingly. any reference to nonconsentual sex is PURELY for humorous effect]
 
Hey I just got out of a short term fling where I had this problem.
I'm glad it didn't go farther so that I actually had other attatchments that would have been difficult to break.
In 8 weeks we only did it like 5 times !#@!@#!@. By my normal historically healthy count we should have been on at least 16 to 35 somewhere.
Anywho, for what it's worth, being on ketamine made me rather indifferent to the problem.
You're a nice guy for trying to solve it on your end.

That won't reduce your sex drive. IT will just make you sterile. All a vasectomy does is keep sperm from coming out. All the other hormones and shit still come into play.

Ummm am I the only person here that thinks maybe drugs aren't the answer? I mean.... You can't solve EVERY FRIGGIN PROBLEM in your life with chemicals people.
...on a completely different note, you should really be thinking about making your girl hornier instead of decreasing your own sex drive.
 
Its not that she isn't horny... For some reason though sex makes her nervous and she can't enjoy it.

maybe she should look into getting that problem fixed then?? or maybe she could try alcohol, benzos, etc etc.
 
are you planning on making this a permanent solution? or are you hoping eventually she will be into sex and then you can go off whatever drugs you're taking? she might be the one that needs medication. if she has no sex drive she might have screwed up hormone levels. or she may just be young and not really into sex yet, which just sucks for you. a girlfriend without sex is just a friend, isn't it?
