I've recently tapered off and discontinued my use of zoloft for anxiety....

Kinda late but can anyone provide some data on what the active metabolites of sertraline and what they do in the brain? Trying to figure out which 5HT receptor subtype in my head is fucked ;)

Maybe someone with access to pubmed can shed a little light on this study, which supposedly talks about the major metabolite of sertraline, desmethylsertraline, being about 50 times weaker then the parent drug (if that's the right terminology?).

I'd expect it would act on the same subtypes...good luck finding your info though. =D How do you think your receptor subtypes are fucked?

If you've come off it recently, your brain is still adapting, so you needn't jump to any conclusions about permanent changes. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious :)
