Contrary to many posts I've read, you do not need to take MDMA with something else to cause Serotonin Syndrome.
from Wikipedia:
A large number of medications either alone in high dose or in combination can produce serotonin syndrome.
CNS stimulants: MDMA
"high dose" is not defined, so what could be a low dose for one person is a high dose for another...
Also, I've seen posts that suggest that Serotonin Syndrome is a death sentence. Of course it can be deadly, but symptoms have a wide range. Check out the mild symptoms:
Mild symptoms may only consist of increased heart rate, shivering, sweating, dilated pupils, myoclonus (intermittent tremor or twitching), as well as overresponsive reflexes.
Well, I can say that I have experienced these exact symptoms taking only lab tested MDMA in a moderate amount. It was a bit scary and I was confused because there wasn't anything I did different from the other times I rolled and wasn't on any other meds or supplements so I don't know why my body reacted that way...
So, with this in mind, have any of you experienced what may in fact have been Mild Serotonin Syndrome?
