Hey guys i live in the A.C.T (Canberra) and am just wondering if it is illegal to sell prescription medication? The medication was legally prescribed to me by a doctor which is why i am asking.

Yes, quite illegal.

Though if you're referring to the meds in your thread title, I'm not sure who'd want to buy them in the first place.

Its because people have no idea. I remember some guy was telling me he could hook me up with all these prescription meds that he doesnt use anymore but he still gets the scripts from his doctor. He tried to tell me Efexor was like legal speed and I just laughed at him and tried to explain to him why it isnt but the he didnt listen.

This is a lame thread. If ur asking this sort of questions and unsure then u already know the answer. Possesing prescription medicine is illegal and selling it is also illegal.

Lol yeah. He said the meds were prescribed to him though, either way, selling them is illegal and as others have stated they all have ZERO recreational value and are worthless unless you need them legitimately as medication.

I have a mate who went to hakia and acacia prison a few years ago. He told me seroquels were commonly sold amongst some of the inmates. Personally I dislike seroquel. I find it good if your having trouble going to sleep after a speed or LSD binge and need to be knocked out.

And who would seriously want to buy effexor? Maybe a person who was already using effexor, had run out and was having those horrible "brain zaps".

As others have said, it is illegal to sell prescription medication.

However, I'm not sure on this though, but I think there is a clause in the legislation that says you can provide a dose of a medication to someone who you believe is in need of it. Not that it covers your situation OP, not to mention all your meds are basically useless recreationally anyway.

^i wonder how well that clause would serve you -hypothetically speaking of course - if it were to come down to something like a manslaughter charge being slapped on yourself due to giving a friend in pain a narcotic or some other drug of addiction or depressant which in turn causes their death.

i know for a fact it says on every benzodiazepine and opiate script i've ever been scripted and currently am (and generally most others whatever they may be) to never administer to someone even if you think it may be of benefit; they should seek medical attention themselves.

i'm interested in reading that clause if you're able to dig up a source too, brother:)
