Okay I have just been advised to enter a methadone maintence program and have several questions listed in order of importance (I tried to join today but you can only join at 5:30 am not any time during operation). Please no comments about how this is a bad idea...unlike everyone else I am not the biggest fan of the high but I find that a constant dosage works as a wonderfull anti-depressant.
1) I was told I had to be strung out to enter. Through great willpower pleasding from my mother (who is fundinthisthis g my psychiatric help) and advise from a doctor I had managed to avoi
d using since sunday. Unfortunately from my knowledge of drug assay and my good vein care (track marks disappear virtually instantaneously) it is quite possible I would be denied despite my heavy cravings.
In order to prevent this I took H at noon today. Now I imagine if I walk in their actually high I will be denied as well but I would like my opiate levels to be as high as they were before I tried stopping otherwise it won't really block these insane cravings and fufill the the other purpose. So if I have to be in there at 5:30 am when/if do I need to stop taking opiates (or do I just need to look sober).
2) I luckily get pretty minor physical withdrawal symptoms and they take a while to come on. Severe depresion occurs fast however but they can't exactly check for that. I know I can downplay the diahrea by carrying with me a pack of immodium. Do I need to present any other physical symptoms if so any ideas on how to aid these without otherwise blowing my situation. How about having some epedrine/psuedo with me to explain the lack of congestion.
2) Tuesday night giving into familial pressure not to take any H and just stick it out one more day I imbibed a fair bit of klonopin (this being like 12 mgs) or so. I am just very naturally resistant to benzos, I had been clean (no withdrawal) for benzos for at least two weeks and then was taking 2mg a day till I think sun I took 4 Mon 9 and tue 12. *I* know at this point it wouldn't be dangerous to combine with methadone. My first time shooting up I did it on like 12mgs taken that day and I don't even really get a buzz taking that many at once (and it isn't crazy tolerance because I have always been resistant and I will do this one day and then not take hardly any for a week or more). Anyway given the half-life of klonopin I am sure it will show up if they test (and they informed me that they can't give me any if I am under the influence of alcohol.
Also we all know that benzos really don't last as long as their half life says they do. You aren't on half a valium five days latter. Are they likely to try to deny me for this?
Should I be upfront immediatly. Would it be helpfull to tell them that this is a valid prescription I got from my old psychiatrist (who i don't plan to see again) but it just hasn't run out again. If so should I bring in the empty bottle, the half full bottle or the bottle with one or two pills left so as to make them think I am nearly out and not scamming them (of course this is way before I am supposed to be done and there is a refill left). Would they contact my old psych (not that I really care as long as I get my methadone I turned to opiates half because benzos weren't working for me and I have no intention of ever seeing him again.
3) As I have to be there at 5:30 to start the program (thought continuation visits can be as last as 2pm) and public transit is much more limited at this time I I really won't be able to sleep. Would the presence of ephedrine in my system be detrimental?
If it is now like 1am can I get away with one more small shot?

Well, I'm definately not the most knowledgable person here to answer these questions for you. But I have several friends who are also on methodone maintenance. I'm not sure all what had to be done to get started, I *do* know that they piss test them every morning..if they piss dirty, they still get methodone, but it is dispensed to them at the clinic, if they piss clean they get pills or whatever to be able to take home. I do believe also they have to piss clean several times before they're allowed any type of drugs to leave the clinic.
I'm not sure if they all work the same in different states, this is in Florida. I don't think any drugs dispensed to you by a physician would be a problem, any recently dated pill bottle I would bring with you. Good luck, be safe.

when you go to the clinic for the first day you can have everything in your system and be accepted. but, you have to have opiates. you must have opiates in your system on day 1.
hope this helps. it sucks bro. i dont recomend the methadone clinic. if you do go on with it, hop on and hop off. i have been on it for 2 years and its a fucking hassle to say the least. good luck.
