It's a long shot but here goes...

I've been lumbered with some cut K. It was always spot on quality before, but this stuff is absolute crap. Sniffing it stings so badly even if it was good I wouldn't be able to keep at it. It also seems to burn my throat and when the drip hits it's unbearable. There was a slight K feeling present.

The vendor has since confirmed it's been tested and the lab cut it with ephedrine. I am absolutely no chemist but is there anything that can be done to seperate the two?

I was thinking of just cooking it and seeing what happens but that's not going to remove anything..

Cheers

sorry I can't help you there, but why would anyone cut ketamine with ephedrine, especially the lab?...

I'm not qualified to even be in this part of the forum, but I'd just have to venture a guess that the reason a lab might do that is to prevent the snorting. Seems to be the case given the description of events so far.

Without an extensive knowledge of chemistry, I'd say you're out of luck. Sorry dude.

Ketamine has a LogP of 3.35.
Ephredine has a LogP of 1.507. (This might be for pseudoephredine, not sure, another source says 1.32 for pseudoephredine.)
Maybe you can use this information. There should be some solvent that would take one but not the other.

There's no pharmacological reason to cut ket with ephedrine other than to bulk it up.

I would ustilise the LogP's of the freebase alkaloids to do a seperation... or...
Ket HCl: Soluble 1 in 4 of water, 1 in 14 of ethanol and 1 in 6 of methanol; sparingly soluble in chloroform; practically insoluble in ether.
Ephedrine HCl: Freely sol in water; sol in alcohol. Practically insol in ether.

or even try manipulating the pH so one is a freebase and the other is a salt.
