SO now its time to admit I've got a meth problem, I have regular benders with my mates on the weekend but now I'm starting to find i need to take some to get me through school and work throughout the week, if i choose to remain clean, come the weekend, another bender. It's just so hard to say no when the pipe is passed to you =(

I know that feeling all too well. :( It's good that you've recognized this. Unfortunately, I had to cut ties with all my former friends and move away to be able to stop. It's been years since I've used regularly, but I do know from attempts to smoke casually that I just can't do that. If I get it, I smoke it til it's gone and then do what I can to look for more when I run out.

I know how hard it is to quit, but these things get out of control quickly. Please stop before that happens. You can find lots of advice and support in the Meth quitting thread here in TDS. All the best to you. <3

As they say in NA, admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery :) and now that you realize that, you can start working on it. As spork mentioned, it might help to try not to hang out with that group too much in the meantime. Just try to stop immediately before it gets any worse!

It's so hard when they are your my main group of friends. We done almost everything together for the past 10 or so years and they are the very people that did my intervention that made me realized i needed to attend a psych service, its just so hard to not see them

^I understand...have you tried talking about this issue with them? Maybe they could lay off the drugs when you're around?

You just have to let em know whats up. If there your good friends like you say they are they should completely understand.

In my opinion, I'd distance yourself from all users for the time being, if not forever.

They always triggered relapses in myself just because they are so persuading.

It's time to live a better life without a drug filled world of friends.

I'm sure you can make new and better friends that don't take part in drug use like this.

All I can suggest other than that is NA meetings, which are fantastic! Or see a therapist. Perhaps it may help.

i think a major part of my addiction comes from smoking itself. Is there anything i can use in the pipe to sort of replace it? like something that smokes but has no effect.
