NOTE: if some of you don't feel comfortable taking xanax with methadone, there are a lot of other good potentiators in this TEK you can take (biaxin, tagamet, hydroxyzine etc.) Just ignore anything that has to do with xanax in this TEK if you don't wanna take it with your Methadone.
Also, I have no idea if I'm using these forms of potentiate correctly (potentiators, potentiation, etc) so correct me if I'm wrong
***also, a very impotant thing to mention is that if you don't have all these things, its ok. The most important thing is tagamet
Now, let's get started!
1.1 Take 1000mg BIAXIN as early as possible. It seems to hit in about 2-2.5 hours, so just try to take it earlier than anything else. If you can't take it that early, no worries at all, just take it with the tagamet (I usually do
) its just the *best* way to do it so I had to mention it!
1.2 Take 400-600mg tagamet (cimetidine) with 40mg omeprazole, or any -zole acid reducer. You could use 2 tbsp baking soda - which is technically the *best* way to do it - but that stuff tastes SOO bad I just can't do that. BUT if you can handle it, its the best way to do it so I'd do that instead of taking the omeprazole. Just warning you though, the baking soda is disgusting and salty. Probably the worst tasting thing I've tasted aside from ecstacy pills. The reason for taking the baking soda/omeprazole is to make your stomach less acidic because methadone is absorbed much better in a non-acidic stomach envionMent The reason for taking the tagamet is because it has the potential to block the enzymes in the liver that break down the methadone to remove it from your system. That means when you take your methadone dose, the tagamet will help keep more of it in your system for a longer period of time as the liver doesn't produce as much of the enzymes responsible for breaking them down so you potentially can stay high for longer. (CYP450, 3A4, and 2D6 inhibition.)
2. Ride to the clinic. Its about 45-60 minutes for me, but the main thing is to wait 45-60 minutes.
3. Take another 200mg tagamet before entering clinic.
4. Take dose of methadone. You can take wafers or liquid, don't matta. I take 2 40mg wafers so I know the damn nurses aint stealin my dose
5. Immediately after taking dose and leaving clinic, take 50mg hydroxyzine. (If you can't get your hands on hydroxyzine, take another 1st gen antihistamine like benedryl! Take about 50mg-75mg of that instead of the hydroxyzine!

6.*IF YOU DON'T WANT TO RISK MIXING IN THE XANAX SKIP THIS STEP!)
Wait 2-3 hours (methadone takes a long time to hit and xanax takes such a short time to hit. I made the mistake of taking my xanax only an hour after taking my methadone and it really messed up my high - a waste of xanax) (I'd also like to note that methadone hits people at different rates/times, so as a general rule just take the xanax 15 minutes before the methadone hits.) and take .5mg-2mg xanax.*
*NOTE: tolerance WILL vary. If 2mg will normally knock you the fuck out, start at .5mg, or 1mg if youre feelin ballsy. If 2mg has you feeling loopy, hungry, and happy, BUT NOT SLEEPY AND NODDY, go ahead and take the 2mg.
IF you aren't feeling the strong effects of the xanax and the methadone in one hour, go ahead and take another 1mg. (If you started with taking .5mg - 1mg, take another .5mg.) Remember - to test the effects, sit down for 30 minutes. If you aren't nodding out like crazy in 30 minutes, try and watch tv and do something for another 15 minutes, then wait for the next 15 minutes to see if you're in nodsville.
If NOTHING, then hell, take that extra 1mg (.5mg for non-tolerant). Hell, if you feel NOTHING off 2mg xanax and whatever dose your methadone tolerance is at, you may even be able to take 4mg xanax. (If u took the .5mg-1mg dose in the beginning, don't go above 2mg, please.) But ONLY if 2mg does absolutely NOTHING to you. But if it were me in that 2mg range, I'd take 3mg total, just in case, ya know, you never know when you've taken 1mg too much until its too late.
That's what I do, it never fails me
So basically, take tagamet, ride to clinic, take a bit more tagamet, dose, take hydroxyzine, wait 2-3 hours, take xanax, if you aren't feeling desired effects in 1 hour, take another: 1mg if you took 2mg, OR .5mg if you took .5mg-1mg.
TOLERANT - 2mg + (1mg if you didn't feel it earlier
NON-TOLERANT - .5mg - 1mg + (.5mg if you didn't feel it earlier)
For the non-tolerants to benzos, its really up to you and how xanax effects you. All I want you to know is to treat xanax as the powerful drug it is. I know 1mg-2mg is a small dosage in general, but xanax is VERY POWERFUL. And 2mg-3mg with your methadone is all it might take to kill you.
