Evan: This was usually how the day would start...
*flash back*
Justice League- Hurry Evan, the bank is being robbed and we need your help.
Evan: Sorry guys, I dont do that anymore.
Justice League- You were the best there was, and your the only one who could stop these guys from running off with the money!
Evan (Thinking): Do I go back to my old ways and fight crime? I vowed to always save anyone in danger, have I turned my back on my own principles? I MUST DO THIS!
Evan (outloud): We must hurry, we dont have enough time! I need two joints, a bottle of gatorade, and three sticks of airheads!
*Puff*
Evan: If someone called me a normal California kid I would have to agree. I do the same shit we all did while growing up, but for some reason I always felt there was something different about my experiances growing up compared to others.
I was, for the most part, farely normal through out grade school...
*poof*
Evan (7 years old): You smoked pot! Your going to hvae flashbacks for the rest of your life! Ha ha haa ha haaaaa!
*poof*
Friend (16 years old): Hey Evan, you ever had a beer?
Evan: I hate beer! Anyone who drinks beer is a loser! Straight edge for life man!
*Poof*
Six days later...
Friend: Evan, try this pipe man.
Evan: Umm, ok.
And that's about as far as I could remember when I was in high school. College was the major growing up period for me. But we mustnt forget the little things we did the summer before college...
*poof*
Rave music playing
Evan: I LOVE YOU ALL! PLUR!
Candy Kid- It's all about the music, the unity and the love that makes raves so special. We come from all urban backrounds in a metaphor to live in perfect harmony while experimenting with society on a level of technological music that is both liberating and fucking great too listen too.
Evan: Wow man, wow.
Candy Kid- What did I just say?
Evan: hahahaha I love you man!
*poof*
Mom: Evan, we are worried about you. I have found your pot stash in your room.
Evan: You were in my room?
Mom: What is up with your eyes?
Evan: I'm tired.
Mom: From what?
Evan: I went to bed late last night and woke up early this morning.
Mom: Your acting weird.
Evan: How am I acting?
Mom: Funny?
Evan: I'm always funny.
Mom: Your high huh?
Evan: Awww mom.
Mom: I dont want you smokign anymore.
Evan: ok ok ok
Mom: I mean it!
Evan: Mom stop, your harshing my high. *Freeze frame right here*
It was great once my parents finally accepted that I love weed. I mean, it helps me eat food, it lets me listen to any music I want, and it is great for relieving stress. As you may have guessed already, this movie is pretty much about weed and drugs. I'm sorry if you dont like that stuff or condem it, but some of us just dont follow the same paths as others. I did feel like I belonged to this crowd during the summer. I was part of this movement with underground culture and music...the only problem is, I got in it around 1999, basically to miss everything there was to see about raves. Oh well, fuck it, I still had fun at parties. I remember the day I took my best friend to a rave and bought him E.
*poof*
Bathroom in a rave
Dealer: So how much do you want?
Evan: Just one.
Hands him a twenty
Hands me the drug
Evan: Thanks.
Dealer: Dont mention it.
Goes to find Robby.
Evan: Robby, I just got you this.
Shows him a pill.
Robby: I dont know if I want to take that.
Evan: Come on, it will be fun and I will be with you the whole night.
Robby: Ummm, I dont know.
Evan: Just take it, you will like it.
Robby: Ok, I guess so.
Gulps down E
30 Minutes later There was Robby with my spectral glasses staring into a strobe light. I walked up to him to see how he was doing and he wanted to show me the meaning of the strobe light. Needless to say I called him a tweeker and went to get him water, and apon my return I found a whole group of followers in his strobe light ecstacy. I felt like I set Robby free that night, I gave him a new perspective on the world that no books or class could come close to seeing. I think he had fun, I mean, I hope he did. I had fun and he looked like he had fun, so I hope he had a good time. Who would have thought it was shit like this that eventually got him to not want to be my friend anymore.
I had no friends until I met Adam.
