scratch my eyes out next time
maybe it won't hurt so much.
over the past month u've made me feel
more than i ever thought i could.
at first u made me feel so special
then loved and alive
unfortunately the pleasures u made me feel
now only increase the PAIN

I think poetry is written mostly for pleasure, by which I mean the pleasure of pain, horror, anguish and awe as well as the pleasure of beauty, music and the act of living.
