i was reading in the pills-a-gogo compilation that schedule v drugs (like codeine cough syrup) are to be dispensed at the pharmacists discretion, and no script is needed. does anyone no if this is still the case, and if pharmacists will actually dispence codiene cough syrup without a script? (i know that nearly all pharmacists at corporate pharmacies won't dispense syringes without a script, regardless of the legality). thanks for any insight y'all might have into this...

Yes one should be able to buy codeine syrup OTC, but it won't happen unless your some old lady with a cold. Maybe if you found some small private pharmacy you might get it, but even then its doubtfull. Like needles, codeine is sold at the discretion of the pharmacist. Did you see phreex in that book, i thought that was hilarious?
