Saying Hello From Buffalo

I hope I’m putting this in the right place. I’m learning my way around.

I have a pretty lengthy drug history, but I always remained “functional” until recently. I’m in my mid 40s and had always been quite proud to have never had been arrested. Well that changed last year. I got arrested 4 times between June and November of 2018, all misdemeanor possession charges.

So I am now doing drug court. I am finally prescribed Bupe ( Zubsolv) for an old pill habit. I am still struggling with crack and alcohol is always my little buddy.

I’m glad to be part of a group of like minded people. Thanks for having me!!!

I was chasing crack for a while, but my DOC is meth. Are you currently on probation with drug testing? I am, and it sucks!

Does the Bupe work? How do you like it?

Drug court eh? Was in one several years back for about 2 years longer than anticipated. I wasn't a rule abiding denizen of the court program but they kept me in it and I saw people get locked up in prison after failing out and let me tell you they didn't want to fail it.

Anyways crack is savage once it gets its fangs in you isn't it? At least for me the stimulant that got me at present I don't pay a cent for which is saving me in a sense yet it is also killing me as it is everywhere whenever I lose control and say hey I'm ready to destroy my wellness with this as I can't moderate it.

Edit: More info than I would willingly contribute personally but I am also from Buffalo.

Welcome edit: Welcome. I mean I can't graduate drug court for you but I do hope you get off crack one day for yourself and not the court if the program helps so be it.

I can't play crack advocate here and when I see it mentioned I naturally am concerned.

I hope your journey here is rewarding though and it's nice to see another local even if we haven't confirmed what Buffalo we are both from and there is more than two.

Last edit (am a mess right now I hate to be all over like this): I also struggle savagely with alcohol and I hate it too which makes no sense but they don't offer the psychedelic medicine here legally I can quickly access to prevent relapsing on booze and hardcore abusive compounds with.
