sausage syndrome

DXM question..
allright, so every time ive takin it in the past for some very odd reason my right thumb gets very swollen- almost like an increased blood flow to a point where it looks and feels like its going to explode. my friend got "sausage" finger syndrome last time where her fingers got huge! she chouldnt even bend them . anyone suffer from it? what causes it?
 
maybe the release of histamines, this is the wrong forum thou, try the psy or health q&a forum
