Swim would like to know if anyone has tried to extract salvinorum a with an aqueous/non polar layer technique. The technique in mind is as follows:
1. In a large glass jar (with lid), combine water and powdered salvia leaf, mix thoroughly by shaking the jar with lid on.
2. Add solvent of choice (acetone) until a layer is formed on top of the water.
3. Shake the jar for several minutes to thoroughly mix in solvent to aqueous layer.
4. Allow time for seperation and any emulsions to clear.
5. Seperate top layer from jar and
6. A- Apply to salvia leaf at ratio, evap, to make enhanced leaf
6. B- fan evap, collect salvinorum A
Would this process work? I know swim was vague at the details but a basic overview was what swim was going for.
