I bought a 1oz bottle of liquid alcohol salvia extract, but i cant remember the strength. the suggested strong dose was thirty drops, giving 5-6 strong trips per bottle. i treid the reccomended high dose, but only got baseline results. so a week later i decided to go for breakspeed and dropped full droppers under my tongue, let them set for as long as i could then repeated 3-4 more times. it came on ny the fifth dropperful so i stopped. i felt extremely lethargic, but very good. around everything in my field of vision crawling patterns emerged, kind of like a greek key pattern, constantly moving. they were pastel kinda colored, reds greens yellows. then theCEVs kicked in. explsions of pink and green when i shut my eyes. the visuals are only visible in low light. music sounded great, and seemed to hold deeper meaning. this lasted about an hour or two and by then was completly down. this is a great way to take, not as hallucinogenic as smoking, but definately less bodyload with more subtle visuals. the only downside is the harsh burn of the alcohol under the tongue. definately recommended

I changed the title to conform to the guidelines.

Short report and I would have liked more detail about the effects, but since it describes a lesser-known method ingestion, I'll leave it open.

wow, thats weird .. i smoked some purple sticky salvia, and it did nothing but freak the hell outta me, and make me think i had turned into a tree - man

I never thought the tinctures would actually work...I should try it some time.

Thanks for sharing

it's more akin to how the mazatecs use and used the herb than smoking, using a quid... just has all the good stuff already dissolved in solution so you don't have to chew up loads of leaves =D

thanks for the report

^Thanks for clarifying...I just assumed it was a cheap knock off Salvia for profiteering lol 8)

I should really do research before I jump to conclusions

I have had very good luck with 350-450mcg of salvinorin taken sublingually after 10 H.B. woodrose seeds preped in my normal fashion. The intensification of the trip was marked visually and mentally. Increased persperation was noted however.

you can dilute the tincture with water, but i prefered it straight, as it would just increase the number of mouthfuls youd need to intake. and it tastes bad. if you try it, go for the highest dose possible, as it never gets as overwhelming as smoking it. maybe the brand i bought was weaker than some, but i dont remember the manufacturer. definately a better and more manageable trip than smoking, easier to integrate into a memorable experience. also not as disorienting as smoking, but with still pretty good visuals. i suggest doubling the highest recommended dose and starting there. just lay back and enjoy, also the body load is less intense.

I've tried the salvia tincture, a long time ago.
The first time I did it I felt basically nothing. I felt a presence, something was there, trying to creep up, but never made it. And at that point I had taken a large ammount (don't remember how much exactly).
A week or two later, was coming down off a mushroom trip and remembered that I still had a dropper left and did it up. It was pretty mellow, but I had a mild out of body experience. I just saw myself sitting in the chair, with random blobs of color flying around my body with an all white background.
No idea how long it lasted for, probably a few minutes, but i didn't really have much of a grasp on the concept of time at the moment.

I only would recommend the tincture in combination with other psychedelics

hmm.. is this because it is not as enlightening/spiritual/thought provoking as the other psychs? i'm asking because smoking it was more 'interesting' for me than anything, not as much psychedelic as wierd/bizarre. i'm wondering if the tincture has possibly more potential than smoking? it seems like it at least..

You'd think a tincture would be more intense, but I guess it needs that high heat from a torch to unleash its potential.

^^ It's actually about the method of ingestion. Taking something orally/sublingually in a tincture makes the drug enter the bloodstream much, much moire gradually and slowly, as opposed to smoking, which delivers it all in an instant. Basically, the tincture stretches the exprience out and makes it less intense at any given point. Although I've generally found with oral vs. faster routes of administration, that oral use usually contains something extra over smoking, even though it's less intense.
