Salvia Mojito?

Hello Fellow Blers!
I'm sorry if I come across as ignorant but I bought some Salvia "Mojito" seeds and I'm wondering if anyone on here can tell me if the 'mojito" strain is related to the psychedelic "divinorum" compound. I don't know a whole lot about plants but if someone could at least let me know that my seeds are useless for growing Salvia Divinorum (the psychedelic variant) than I won't bother at all...I did do a Google search but most people don't seem to know much of anything about growing salvia...

My guess is that these seeds are good for nothing but aesthetics but I saw "Salvia" on the package and thought I'd look into it, so if anyone can fill me in on these I would be very grateful. Thanks!

There are more than 700 Salvia species, but only Salvia divinorum is psychoactive.

Salvia `Mojito' is evidently Salvia sclarea var. turkestanica alba. Salvia `Picante' is evidently a selected series of splendens. ...

Sorry bud. No trip will come of those seeds. They might make tasty poultry seasoning or pretty-flowered plants though.

I vote that you still plant the seeds, and then report back to us with any results.

Just because we don't have proof that something [is psychoactive], doesn't mean we have proof that something [isn't psychoactive].

There are actually 5 other psychoactive salvias I know of, plus quite a few others whose psychoactivity is still debated/in early stages of human exploration. This is a very common topic elsewhere, just not on bluelight.

Thanks guys, I'll probably still plant em for shits and giggles but good to know that they aren't psychoactive. I should've known they wouldn't be selling Salvia divinorum in the gardening section

I am on my phone and can't post links atm, but E-Dot has quite a bit of info on the topic. Unfortunately, none of the others have had psychedelic activity. The trend seems to be toward sedative/opiate type effects. Look into cirisol also...
