salvia....illegal??

I have been told that salvia is illegal in some countries like australia, although I have never tried salvia or plan to try it, it is legal here in new zealand, if I wanted to buy some, I just gotta go down to the druggie store and I can get salvia for $20. I don't get it, someone explain.
 
Explain what? Why it is illegal? Why you can buy it at your druggie store? WTF
 
Its not illegal in New Zealand or Australia. However, it will be illegal in Australia in approx two days. Will still be legal in New Zealand though. This should have been put in the psychedelics forum btw.
 
every country has different laws
australia has decided to make salvia illegal, most other countries have not...simple as that
just like in amsterdam you can purchase weed (essentially) legally, but most other countries you can't...
