Bluelighter
Dose: Two large leaves Salvia Divinorum smoked through a bong.
After a long week, I thought the perfect start for a Beltane weekend would be a journey with the Shepardess.
After enjoying a few glasses of white wine on the back porch and waiting for night to fall, I wanted to be in a good mental and spiritual space before smoking the salvia. Day to day stresses were released and I was prepared to relax and enjoy the ride.
Two bongs were prepared with crushed leaves and both smoked in rapid succession, holding in the smoke for about thirty seconds a hit. After placing down the bong and lighter, I laid back on the couch, shut my eyes and immediately felt my gravity grow heavy as I melted into the couch.
My body felt like half was rubber and I felt what I knew as reality slip away. There was no time or space, no emotional baggage, no ego and no fear. The space is something that I can only describe as pure. Then Maria arrived. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the patterns of dark green leaves and upon opening them, I smiled as I watched hundreds of bits of dancing light swirl about my living room, which was now in a very strange yet comfortable reality. The face of a Goddess appeared beside me, close to my cheek. A huge presence that was raw wild nature. Her face was made entirely of leaves, her eyes wild, her smile gentle. Nothing was heard but the question was put forth. Do you wish to come further? I was reveling in the euphoric state of being one with all around me in this freeing space and sensed that I could indeed, go deeper but declined. I was perfectly happy where I was and would save a deeper experience for another time.
This experience was definately an inward journey, and very personal. As I started to feel the salvia space slowly meld back into reality, I smoked a little weed. I then felt two head spaces, one the salvia euphoria and the warm embrace of the marijuana coming on. Very pleasant. My sitter put on Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon and recounted what he saw and heard. I apparently laid down and blinked, stating, "Oh boy, here it comes!" before my head hit the pillow. *lol* What seems like timelessness lasted twelve minutes.
I came away from the trip with a refreshed and renewed sense of self. I am reminded how simple and beautiful life truly is and the importance of living in the moment.
Thanks Maria.
