This is a very short and quick report about my first "experience" with the virgin of the valley.
Two days I attempted chewing the reminants of a dried 5X leaf extract that a friend gave me (I estimate about 200mg of dried 5X leaf) with some listerine for 30 minutes and absolutely nothing happened.
Today I decided to see what happens if I smoke it. I have 1 gram of standardized 10X, and I took a pinch (I don't know how much, 50mg, perhaps?) and smoked it in a lightbulb. Here is what happened...
As I smoked I became aware of a certain, quick "stoning" intoxication, however my head unexpectedly remained clear. I knew right there that I was not meant to breakthrough today, though. But I was undeniably altered. As I smoked it I was experiencing some rushing sensations in the center of my body but they were not uncomfortable like the ones from 5-MeO-DMT. I thought I was not very inebriated so I decided to walk to my altarand light some incense which I forgot to light before starting. Boy was I wrong! I was extremely dissoriented and luckily the alter was not too far away from my bed.
Ialso somehow managed to open the window - a GREAT move,as you will see later - so that the weird-smelling salvia smoke may be ventilated out. I finally managed to return to bed where I jus lay perfectly still. By opening the window I allowed outside sounds into the room, and this was somehow extremely significant. It felt great to just hear the chaotic outside noises of city, birds, wind, and everything else. I also have my bed positioned so that when I lie down I stare directly out of the window and into the sky. Watching clouds is one of my favourite things to do on psychedelics, and this was no exception.
The next 20 minutes were spent ABSOLUTELY MOTIONLESS. I was simply 'experiencing.' It had a very "zen" quality to it. In fact it felt very much like Opium without the opiate euphoria or relaxation (hard to explain). And for that reason, I would really like to know how Salvia mixes with Opiates. I also believe that Salvia actually works on the Kappa Opioid receptor. Keep in mind though, that it DID NOT feel like an opiate. Just similar, somehow... in its tranquility.
I found Salvia VERY interesting and VERY friendly. what I also LOVED about it is that I was absolutely sober 1 hour after smoking, only with a brightened mood. Good stuff. I would like to see ow the breakthrough feels.
