Recently, I bought 5g of 5X extract Salvia Diviniorum. Eager and very excited to try it, I did. It was my first time doing this particular drug. I have no means of measuring the doses at the moment, so in this account I will be explaining doses in units of ‘cones’ [one cone, basically, is the capacity that a normal bong/pipe conepiece can hold filled to the top.].
First time:
A small amount, inhaled using a normal lighter and a pipe. Maybe just under half a cone. I didn’t want to really trip out, I just wanted to get an idea of what to expect from Lady Salvia. My head felt very clear and light, yet heavy at the same time. I had a hard time balancing myself. It was kind of like I was stoned, but with a clear head. My pupils were also very dilated. This feeling did not last long, maybe 5 minutes. Probably less.
Second time:
Almost a full cone. Probably ¾ of a cone, though a pipe and with a normal lighter. This way about 10-15 minutes after the first attempt. I then lay on my bed to see if anything would happen. I kept my eyes open, and there was background music – Rage Against The Machine, turned down very low. I got some fractal patterns on the walls of my room. Kind of hard to explain – I was staring at the patterns without realising that they aren’t actually there normally. Then, suddenly I realised my wall is normally just plain blue. This startled me. I realised that I had been tripping mildly but yet thinking everything was normal. This is kind of hard to explain, so I hope you know what I mean.
Third time:
Two days later, from a water bong. I packed the conepiece with as much as it would fit inside. This I took in two lungfuls, holding each for 20 seconds. I felt the effects coming on, but I decided to pack some more anyway. Probably another half a cone, I packed and took in one lungful. Then flung myself onto my bed as fast as possible.
The next part is very hard to explain, but I’ll do the best that I can. I’m not sure if my eyes were open or closed.
Everything around me was made up of these living, breathing ovals. Remember in school you learnt about what plant cells looked like? Square things with a bunch of blobs and squiggly things inside? They kind of looked like that. They were yellow with similar parts inside. These ovals NEEDED to be organised. The ovals made up all things, and were about the size of half my leg. They all had a special order to be in, a special position where they should be. But, by jumping on the bed I had messed up the order. Sort of like when you jump in a swimming pool, you displace where the water originally was – when I jumped on the bed, I had displaced a bunch of the ovals. So they were all pushing and shoving in order to get back into their original order, pushing me around, pushing each other around… it was of the utmost importance that they got into the right order… somehow I knew this. Then, as far as I can remember, reality began to fade back in. I realised that they weren’t pushing me around, in fact I was simply rolling around on my bed. This was a very strange feeling. Very shortly it had worn off enough so that I could get up and walk around, and think about what had just happened. I walked down some stairs. Obviously it hadn’t worn off completely, because I had a very hard time doing this – it looked as if I was actually walking UP the stairs, rather than down. This resulted in me getting very confused and almost falling over
Fourth time:
This is my final time to date. I was at a friends house, a place I have never been before and was thus unfamiliar to me. We decided to try the salvia. Again through a bong, I packed myself as much as would fit in the conepiece…. Then I forced a more in
I took this in two lungfuls, then again lay on the bed. My head rolled sideways, and I was staring across the room. In the air, floating, was a ‘Streets’ sign (for those who don’t know, Streets is a confectionary company here in Australia.. I have no idea whether it exists in any other countries). I’ll try to describe it to you.. it basically said the word ‘Streets’, but the word was made up of several strips of colour – the colours I think were yellow, cream, and a red colour. I blinked, and the sign disappeared. Again, I hadn’t realised that the floating advertisement wasn’t normally there. I puzzled over this for a moment, until I was distracted (this part is VERY hard to explain) – looking around the room, every single edge of everything began to be covered by half-circles, side by side, of the same three strips of colour as was in the Streets sign. I looked at a poster on the wall, a very intricate poster.. one of those optical illusions ones where the situation is impossible. All the edge of this poster, very many edges, all became patterned with the same pattern! This began to drive me insane, as everything I looked at, all the ‘edges’ of the object started spawning these Streets-esque patterns. There was a person lying next to me. I looked at him, and his nose, chin, lips, all of his face began forming the same pattern. Afterwards he told me that I had muttered ‘who are you?’ after staring at him blankly for half a minute. I looked down at myself. I had a duvet (doona) over me. This began to change. The edges of the doona formed the same pattern, but the doona seemed to get bigger and bigger until I was under the impression that I was inside a giant silo type thing which had trapped me. For some reason, I realised my legs were in fact hovercars trying to escape from a giant city, but there were many other hovercars blocking the way. My brain fought with itself about this for a little while. It then started to wear off, and I realised that I was simply lying in a bed looking at my legs under the doona, and kicking around a bit.
All in all, I am disappointed. I wanted to experience ego loss through Lady Salvia and possibly an experience similar to the amazing things that I had read about. My experiences are very tame in comparison. My best guess that the reason for this is that the extract that I bought was of poor quality. But, as they say… if at first you don’t succeed.. try, try again!
