safest way to weigh something like phenazepam?

Why is this post in this forum?

Wouldn't it belong in BD?

Try volumetric measurement. Dissolve a known mass in a known volume of liquid (say 20 mg in 200 mL of Vodka). Then measure out how many mLs you need for whatever dose you plan to take.

I don't know if its soluble in Alcohol but I believe it isn't in water.

I agree. Even with a microgram analytical scale, it's often better to dissolve a larger amount of it in a known volume of solvent.

If you have a known amount of it already, say you bought a 20 mg vial of it, you won't even need to use the scale. I would dissolve it all into 200 mL of water or alcohol (assuming it can dissolve in eihter). Then, to get a dose of 2 mg, just measure out 20 mL of water. What you don't use, you can probably aliquot and store inthe freezer or refridgerator.

for your sake, be damn careful. i lost a week that i cant even remember on this with no scale, i was trying to be careful even with no scale, easier said than done as the dose creeps up.

its alright saying i'll only do a little bit but after a dose, amnesia sets in, i didnt know if i'd had a dose or not, or if dose had wore off etc. so i kept redosing, cant even remember if i was sent to hospital or not, maybe it was a seperate occasion with H

Which is why I said that I've been using a milligram scale which wasn't much, it cost me 60 bucks and it works great.

Also, phenazepam isn't soluble in water and is only partially soluble in pure ethanol. I'm not sure about propylene glycol.

Edit - Apparently it is soluble in propylene glycol. Propylene glycol is not toxic unless you ingest huge amounts at a time. You could try this method I suppose. Maybe I'll try it too.

Depends on the quality of the scale. I have an analytical lab balance that I trust to be pretty good; I wouldn't say the same for a £20 one.

A 0.001g scale I wouldn't trust:

The 0.001g scale I use and trust (obviously not the best scale but I got it brand new for $60 on ebay and the manufacturer is selling it for $129):

A lab entry grade scale (their cheapest 0.001g one at $370 and I so wanna buy this because of the features):

A scale worth I won't ever have the pleasure of using ($3995):

So far my scale has been reliable but out of paranoia I weigh the product multiple times and I also wait a few minutes before establishing weight.

weigh something like 10mg phenazepam and dissolve it into 40ml propylene glycol

get some 1ml syringes (insulin or whatnot) to measure your dose out of that, bearing in mind that 1ml will be ~0.25mg phenazepam.
