Safe to trip in Sauna?

Is it safe to trip (not decided what substance yet) while at a Turkish Bath? It is more then just a steam room and the steam room is a lot hotter then your average sauna. It has chillout bits as well that are warm and a bit below room temperature and a freezing cold plunge pool?

Is it physically safe for my body to go through this while tripping? I went today and didn't want to trip just incase although I go drunk and stoned everytime I have been, that can't be too good for me though. Any advice :)
Of course I wouldn't spend way too long in either bit, I probably couldn't take all the fat half naked guys for too long anyway. Me and my fiancee have been going together a few times and its really nice and relaxing.

in the winter time when its freezing, tripping in a hot tub was one of the most pleasurable things that ever happened to me.

i felt litterally transported to an anime with those hot springs when i closed my eyes. maybe the sauna would have a similar affect.

i think you and your fiancee would have a blast.

I've eaten mescaline cacti and gone to the sauna multiple times...very intense cleansing experience.
Just pay attention to your body, if you're anything like me it'll be obvious, even tripping, when it is time to leave the room. I went in the middle end of an acid trip as well as a mushroom trip too, and never felt any compkications....lol I was peaking on a good 350mg mescaline in there, profound exp.

Stay hydrated, better to not br stuffed it food, maybe fruit beforehand. And don't go ut in the cold afterwards...! I shocjed the fuck out if myself by sitting n the 10°F windy winter air after a sauna....my chest get so tight, horrible! That was unrelated to tripping and was a different occasion. But to exp that shock trippingnwoukd be no good lol.

What an excellent idea! As tUT mentioned though, staying hydrated will be especially important if you're going to be sweating it right out again!

If you pay attention to your body and have your head with you and remember to cool off, you will be alright. (Don't do any substances that elevates your core temperature!)

Depends on the substance I am sure. I would avoid anything with MAOI action, that could lead to elevation of core temperature. AMT is one to avoid for instance, or AET (danger of agranulocytosis with this one too, which could be fatal, although its a rare reaction) as that can make one get pretty heated. Likewise avoid MDA/MDMA, anything with 5HT releasing action as a main mode of action.

^This. While tripsitters are usually a good thing to have on hand, I'd say it's absolutely essential to have a sober "nurse" to watch your vital signs if you plan on subjecting your body to this kind of extreme.

I tried this about one week back on a mild dose of acid. Where I'm from saunas are pretty much everywhere and the usual temperature is around 70-80 degrees celsius. The main safety aspect to consider would probably be dehydration, so depending on your drug of choice you might wanna grab something to drink along. A sitter ain't a bad idea if you plan to blast your brain into the next galaxy.
Personally I didn't find the heat to be a big isue, exept that I couldn't sit down until my friend threw some water on the bench. (First time I tried it felt like I fried my ass, but that was just the acid talking. :D ) It wasn't maybe the most mindblowing experience I've had, but pretty nice nevertheless so I recomend trying it!

As long as you're healthy sauna is generally safe and tripping should make no difference.

Some Native Americans used sweat lodges in conjunction with Peyote, so you may find the sweating to be synergistic to the experience you are trying to achieve. Only thing I would caution you is not to try to do sweating as a extreme sport in some kind of misguided attempt to sweat your way to nirvana. I've heard of people dying after sweating too much at a new age guru retreat thing in Arizona because the leader was pushing them too hard. I have experience with heat exhaustion from endurance exercise and I can tell you that as you are going into it, you lose your judgement as if you've been drinking. So you make errors in judgement such as keeping going when you need to stop. The human animal is one of very few animals that is capable of running itself to death. That's why they have to forcibly remove contestants from the Ironman triathlon course sometimes because they won't stop even well into heat exhaustion.

tl:dr Have fun tripping in the sauna but don't over-do it.

As someone coming from the country where the sauna originates, I'd say it's probably safe. Finnish saunas are much hotter than anywhere else, usually 80-110 °C. I personally can't sit in a sauna for a long period because I start feeling like I'm about to faint. If you're in a sauna that hot, I'd be very careful with compounds that raises your body temperature and dehydrates you. Steam saunas are not as hot but may feel quite hot because of the higher humidity. Anyway if you go, make sure you drink a lot of water and don't sit in the sauna for long periods, go outside to chill frequently.

You didn't mention what compound you are taking but the risk is greater with psychedelic amphetamines than, say, 4-sub tryptamines so the compound also has a big impact.

However I doubt it's dangerous as long as you feel good, but if there's any sign of fainting, nausea etc. immediately leave the sauna and drink water.
