Safe to take benzos 12 hours after doing opiates?

Maybe it's a stupid question, but I can't find any straightforward answer on-line. Just how many hours after doing opiates (codeine in the 30-60 mg range) is it safe to take benzos (not having a tolerance to either of them at the moment)? Let's say 12 or 24 hours? More? Less?

I would love to know, as I'm pretty much against mixing downers and wary of the dangers...

Twelve is enough considering that you're not using something like suboxone/methadone; after codeine twelve hours should be sufficient.
