I'm tapering off Seroquel and the dosage is down to 25mg taken only at night. Would it be safe to take a small dose (5-10 grams) of Ayahuasca (B. Caapi only)? I've read a couple reports where Caapi is taken with seroquel at a large dose and the trip went fine. I want to micro-dose daily with the Caapi in hopes to help ease the withdrawal symptoms.

All I can say is good luck, I was on Seroquel for like two months, once I was off I had insomnia for 7 months.
Seroquel really is unique, I can't believe something so potent exists.

The only answer you may get may perhaps be the report you read, as most don't seem to take Ayahausca with Anti-Psychotics.
Someone may be aware of the mechanism of action they may have on the brain together, but I'm not so sure.
What makes me skeptical is how hardcore people seem to have to diet for an 'ideal trip'.

I checked a drug interaction checker for pharmaceutical MAOIs (which would have more serious interactions than natural reversible MAOIs like b. caapi) and there were no interactions listed with quetiapine, and a doctor who was familiar with ayahuasca said there shouldn't be an interaction, for what it's worth. You might want to try starting with a low dose to be on the safe side though, as it's not a well-known combination. I would also assume it could potentially increase certain effects like sedation.
I will start off with 1 gram just to keep it safe.

Wish I could give advice on tapering. I was heading up to 300mg, but at 150mg wasn't doing too well. I ended up getting scripted 50mg, but I had to abruptly end it since I was hospitalized for it. 'Had like every side effect in the book, I truly hated seroquel, definitely an intriguing drug though. My Doctor is generally conservative, so that was a bit weird. I am never taking a daily anti-psychotic again. I experienced akathisia, and if you look around online for a 1-5 akathisia scale, I scored a 5 or so for it.. Nothing in the world was as awful as that. Sorry for the rant. Good luck. Nice to know there's no interactions too.
