There's nothing so unique in the spectrum of human emotions as sadness. Happiness can spur others to jubilation which spreads contagiously, when sadness can all at once shut out all other feeling and create a vacuum that only pours into itself. Sadness quiets the human spirit and persuades the mind into a vortex of depression. Sadness is insurmountable and uncurable, only with time can it be purged from thought.
