Fixing Running Joints and Blunts

yo i was wondering what you guys do to fix a running joint or blunt, you know when one side burns a little faster than another and it gets real uneven. I usually just get my finger a little wet and wet right below the running area a little to slow it down a bit. Hit it and it will fix itself after that... hopefully.

Anyway thats my way of doing it, anyone have any better or different methods?
 
what i usually do to fix this is roll the joint better so it's like a fat cigarette.
 
Break up the weed well but not to powder-like form. Roll the joint/blunt evenly, as in the weed is distributed evenly along the length of the paper. No bud pieces in between or anything like that, but you can put some on the end you hit to prevent weed pulling through. But yea the spit thing is the only way I know of to stop a run. I've seen people do a spit ring right after they light up, if they know it'll run. If you are rolling a blunt, you should lick the end product and run a lighter across the whole blunt until it's kind of stiff. Again, the idea is to have a uniform blunt.

i'd like to add though that that some of these clear wraps do a great job.
 
I Always crack the finger thing out as a last resort, before that I give it a couple tokes whilst twisting it round a bit, or applying a quick bit of flame whilst toking to help it burn.

Or if I'm lazy, one thing I do is just put the canoed part on the bottom so the heat from all the extra burning material speeds the whole thing along and it catches up to itself. Re-lighting it and burning the whole part off also works, but that's a bit of a waste.
 
OP thats called a canoe! Lick your finger & rub the wetness on the half of the jay/cig the longer side of the cherry is going to burn first, this will slow it down. Hell, i always lick the crap out of my Rolls *games then dutchies son!* to slow the burn time, theirs nothing like a really phat cigar packed for a 45minute star gazing session, toss in some hot coco in the winter & thats bliss.
 
Gross, I never slobber on my blunts because I hate it when people do it when their rolling it. Its just gross smoking like an oz. of someones saliva. Makes me gag thinking about it.

doing that along with the wet finger is perfection
 
I just rip a really big fart on it if it starts running!8o

Naw but really only thing ive heard of is using ure spit. But making a even blunt like others have said works great.
 
smoke it with the paper part on top and the part thats burning more on th e bottom. also spin your j/blunt as you hit it and it will fix the boat.
 
oh shit dude i didn't know this was an elitist only forum..

not every joint i roll runs but everyone once in a while you'll get an usain bolt and you just have to fix it
