I was looking through the support forums and noticed that you do not allow the promotion of Facebook pages, even if they are created in the name of harm-reduction. However, are the rules the same when it comes to blogs? I know that I do not currently have access to creating a blog, but I figured I would get this question out of the way before I got access and screwed it up. lol. I was also curious as to whether or not Bluelight Blogs get crawled like a typical web page by Google web crawlers. Does SEO work on the blogs here? Anything else in particular that I should know when it comes to blogs in relation to this general area of discussion? Thank you and I look forward to seeing your answer!

You still can't link to things like facebook in the blogs section.

As for google and search engine optimization, I really don't know but I'm sure that someone else that does will come along and post here within a day or so.

I really don't plan on using the Facebook page I have for my brand too much. I am more focused and concerned w/ my own brand site and probably Google +. Most of the content would be linked back to an addiction recovery and harm reduction site that I am trying to establish. I plan on posting about similar topics and freelance writing once I gain enough posts to create a blog. They would be high quality articles because lower quality and poorly written content usually doesn't go over to well with Google. I look forward to receiving an answer ^.^

^ Well you can't be linking to your site in your posts. It's not allowed in regular threads or in blogs. When it comes down to it Bluelight isn't here to help you promote your website. We have very strict rules against that to prevent the site from being overrun by people trying to use this forum for exposure.
