Anybody ever heard of this? Maybe it is not very popular because it flirts with the dreaded "THP" functionality.

It's on biopsychiatry.com, which is where I'm guessing you got it from too. I looked it up in the exhaustive drug guide for the US, and it wasn't listed. What I would be most interested in would be evidence from the clinical trials indicating that a THP connected in this fashion is NOT neurotoxic.
 
It probably is neurotoxic though. Not the compound but its N-dealkylated metabolite. I guess that might be why it is indicated for use in schizos?
 
I don't understand why neurotoxicity justifies its use in treating schizophrenia. Are all tertiary amines dealkylated by metabolic enzymes? If so, which family of enzymes is this?
