Heroin Rotating injection sites

Expose your mates problems? It's not like we know the fucking guy.. or give a crap for that matter. How is saying "my friend IV's in his neck" "exposing" him? We don't know you or your friends.. so relax, bud. If you want help, maybe ask questions in a way people can understand..

But, with your great attitude, I don't think anyones going to be inclined to help you out.. I know I'm not. So try google, friend.

Good luck.

Only question I have is, how do you break the needle off of a syringe without leaving some sharp point behind? Should I pull it out with pliers, or literally break it off?

Just dont want my bum bum to get hurt when I throw it in there.

Best thing to do is just go buy an oral syringe from the pharmacy for a buck or whatever it is. Then just transfer the solution into there.

Any advice now or did you just want me to expose my mates problems to the world at potential great harm to others for no reason at all?

Your friend is obviously putting himself in grave danger doing what he's doing, but I really don't know the words that would make him stop. The stakes are raised dramatically when you're IVing in the neck...

Yeah IV'ing in the neck can lead to serious complications. There is a very large artery right by the veins there, that is very easy to hit accidentally and can cause serious problems. Swelling and blocking of your airway, the neck is prone to clots which so near your heart can stop your breathing, and abscesses there are also very dangerous.

It's one of the most dangerous spots to IV. I had a friend, he'd been using many many years and destroyed every other vein, so he exclusively shot up into his neck. He'd carry around a little pocket mirror so he could just pop a shot into his neck wherever he was.

Definitely be careful to rotate sites. Last time I was in the hospital(and although extremely dehydrated) they stuck an IV in my face, THEN into my neck when they didn't like that one. If you're really unlucky and need an emergency IV sometimes what they'll do in an ambulance is drill a hole into your shinbone. Not fun stuff.

Yep they hit my forehead. I can still hit myself np with 30 gauge tips, but they use much bigger ones and like I said, I was dehydrated very badly.

I can personally still hit my hands, the two big veins on the inside and outside of the hands, wrists, forearms in a couple places, and one of the crooks of my harm, but a lot of the veins are fucked, yeah. Damn dillies are like crack in that regard when you're sticking yourself a million times a day lol.

^^

Yeah pills are really rough on the veins if you're not micron filtering.. and with dilaudid, the high is so short lived, that the urge to redose is strong and you end up shooting up multiple times a day. I was on a good 6 month or so dilaudid binge a long time ago, stupidly not micron filtering, and I did a number on my veins as well.

^^^THIS!!!

Shooting into your neck is literally not ever worth it. I cannot think of even a hypothetical situation that would make it worth taking the risk of doing this. Shoot it into your boner if you have to, just dont shoot into your neck, please, unless you want to risk dying every time you do it. Just dont do it, please.

keep rotating sites. That goes for all kinds of injections not just IV. I've seen sub-cut insulin injectors who have stuck to just one spot and they get these little lumps on the site. When you IV in just one spot you don't give the vein time to heal, it will collapse and then you will move on to site 2...rinse and repeat until you dont have veins left. so the best thing to do is find a new site each time. I personally would suggest you stay away from hands, anything neck up, and also groin area.

Ha, if your only options are shooting into your neck or your dick.. I think it's a good time to seriously consider getting clean no matter what it takes.. because you're at the end of your rope.

I saw a guy with the worst technique known to man. He had a long tip needle and hadn't paid the electric bill so we are sitting there in the dark around a coleman lantern. With the aid of a flashlight I was able to properly clean, hit myself in the arm and dispose of my rig. Then he called me over to a mirror with my flashlight. Proceeded to have me shine the light on his neck pushed the long tip rig into his neck all the way then drew it out until it registered. It wasn't even a gradual push either he shoved it in like a dart, then drew it back. I kept waiting for him to hit an artery or a nerve or something. BTW this was without using a swab (which I offered one of my extras). Just jammed it in and went to town. Needlesss to say I don't hang around that dude anymore.

How can you guys tell when you've hit an artery on the inside of your elbow?? I've heard that the blood is bright red compared to vein blood.
Also, the vein I use most, on the inside of my right elbow, is starting to bleed out super dark blood. It normally takes me several tries to get the vein since its my most used spot, but sometimes i can get it on the first or second try easily. But with this vein specifically, instead of the blood shooting out into the syringe like its supposed to, the darkkk blood kinda seeps in slowly, but i can still hit it, and get just as high as normal. But the other day when i hit it, it shot out brighter blood on my first try,as if it was a new spot and i did have a TINY rush and a decent high, but idk. something was different. Maybe its just in my head. (Note: it had been about a week since my last shot, maybe my vein could have heeled a bit??) But it couldn't have been an artery, could it have been?? do you even get high when you hit an artery? does anything out of the ordinary happen in comparison to hitting a vein? Like, can you see the difference very clearly, or do you just have to trust you've hit the vein?? i feel like i should know this, but i've never hit an artery before that i know of. Helpppp lol i need to know what not to do next time it happens..

If you hit an artery the blood will push itself into the syringe.

I think the vein you are using is becoming occluded, stop using it for a few weeks :)

Is there any trick anybody could give me advise on about hitting a vein each time i want to? I know its not going to happen every first try, but i really hate using more than one needle for just one shot. and using the same needle is painful if you keep pulling out and attempting to hit again. there have been times when ive tried way over 10 times to get a vein and freaking hurts ya kno, ... Sometimes you have no other option but to use the same needle for each try.
Like if i have an extra hand, should i try pulling the skin away from the direction im shooting, ? anything useful that could be of any immediate help?? Maybe like "best ways to hit a vein", and maybe something like "what not to do when trying to hit a vein". Any help/advise will be appreciated!

Damn man, I'm a bit surprised the hospital put it in your forehead and neck, sorry you had to go through that shit

This is Interesting, I've never heard of those lights they use to keep people from shooting up in the bathroom, is it like Florissant lighting or what?
yes its like a blueish tint to the light and it erases your veins so you can't see them when you enter the bathroom. They have these in the real rough parts of Vancouver Canada where junkies are always looking for bathrooms to shoot in and arnt very considerate of others cause they all leave old needles and paraphernalia laying around.
