The ecstasy I took was definitely legit. I tested it and it came out good... though I wasn't too sure of the strength. Anyway, here's what happened:

(I took 5 pills overall. I suspected they were weak from everyone else that tested them on pillreports)

I popped the 1st one. I was pretty impatient and took the 2nd one 30 mins later. I started to feel those jitters, so I knew it was gonna work. Then I start the euphoria, but my muscles still feel stiff and tense. I needed to sit down to enjoy the roll. I took the pills 30mins apart each time and didnt feel the peak until about 4 hours later.

I then didn't feel an afterglow until 2 days later.

Assuming these were good pills (because I tested and researched them)
- My question is, why did I continue feeling stiffness and jitters while I was rolling for a while? Is it because they way I took the pills? Should I take them hours apart?

- Also, what causes the muscle stiffness and jitters? I thought it was only at the beginning and then it goes away the whole time.

I don't think the muscle stiffness and jitters had anything to do with the way you took your pills. I would assume that's they had something to do with the content of your pills (chances are there was speed in them). But we can't really speculate on what was in your pills (we don't allow "What did I take" thread in ED).

I actually don't feel any muscle stiffness or jitters when I come up on MDMA. I feel kinda tired and out of it, but nothing too physical.

Hi guys.

I seem to remember you having a strange panic reaction while rolling 3 months ago.
Another thread reveals you were asking about rolling two days in a row, but you were strongly advised against it by many.
I hope you followed the advice.
Another discussion was about LSD and MDMA taken together or in close proximity.
And again, others insisted it was 'fine' - while I opposed the idea.

Here you are claiming to have taken a LARGE dose of MDMA with a paradoxical reaction.
Have some information.

From rodent research...
Pretreatment with known toxic doses of MDMA cause an increase in the MOTOR effects later on.
And less 'social' effects.

From primate and human research...
MDMA can damage the striatal dopamine neurons, which are important for movement.
It is here that Parkinson's and tardive diskenesia arise, although it takes substantial dopamine loss to cause this.
In some former MDMA users it is apparent, after THREE years of abstinence, that dopamine in the striatum has NOT recovered.
Since serotonin suppresses dopamine in this region, it is likely due to damage in the serotonin network.
But dopamine neurons are resilient, so this level of change is thought to result from a 'degenerative' process.
Like those leading to the above-mentioned illnesses.

I have come to believe that dopamine blockade is PART of the recovery process from serotonergic damage.
It is also part of what occurs while rolling.
The massive release of serotonin suppresses dopamine transmission in MANY regions of the brain, until the peak.
Then serotonin falls and dopamine is allowed to surge, esp. in the meso-limbic pathway where serotonin does not inhibit dopamine.

Jaw-clenching and tight muscles are common when rolling.
And they can be viewed as signs of dopamine supression in the striatum, in my opinion.
Don't these effect get WORSE when redosing?

I stopped clenching my jaw after my first 5 rolls, which I thought was due to cleaner pills.
Now I suspect that the dopamine neurons were just dead and no longer fighting.
I should have viewed the loss of clenching as a warning sign.

Many former users of MDMA fail to regain the 'magic' even after YEARS of abstinence.
The recommended dosing schedule calls for no more than 4 moderate doses per YEAR.
If you aren't following this, and you are starting to feel more 'wirey' and less 'euphoric' during the experience, it would be VERY wise to take a LONG break.

Good luck.

I get the stiffness and jitters pretty bad after the peak when I start to plateau especially with more or stronger mdma (or maybe its cut who knows). Then the rest of the night I'm all tense and shaky when walking down stairs and have slight trouble talking without stuttering over my words.

My jaw always tenses really bad too and I find myself talking through my teeth most of the time! I don't know much about speed but from what levictus said maybe what I took was cut with it and yours might've been too because that sounds very similar to what I experience on m sometimes.

Yeah, I've read your replies and thanks for all the help!
I actually didn't roll both night at that time, and that was one of the first times I recovered so quick from the after effects.

So you're saying that the stiffness and tension come from the damage of releasing serotonin? I remember the first two times I rolled and didn't feel any tension or anxiety. I thought it was because I had a meal about 3 hours before. the other times I got anxiety, I didn't eat the whole day! I remember you saying this too:

First Bad Comedown said:
At the buffet, focus on protein not carbs.
MDMA is hard on the gut and carbs are known to increase serotonin in the brain. It may sound like what you are after, but its not. Having a heavy meal in the process of digestion could be very yucky. Meanwhile, eating different kinds of proteins will provide extra stomach bile and serotonin supply.
Have you ever eaten LOTS of steak and felt a 'meat high'?
I have....its very visceral. Go for the meat and veggies, with only small portions of carbs.

I thought eating too many carbs cause this anxiety and tension on the muscles (also why I posted this question again). I may have misunderstood.

So, is MDMA abstinence the only way not to get the stiff and tense muscles? or can you take some supplements to help? Maybe L-Tyrosine?
